Shake Shack’s first Tampa Bay drive-thru set to open

Shake Shack, one of the country’s most popular hamburger chains, will open its first Florida drive-thru in Wesley Chapel.

The Wesley Chapel Shake Shack will open Friday at 25600 Sierra Center Blvd., the company said Monday. Besides the drive-thru, the location will also offer “in-shack” dining.

The menu also includes a variety of crinkle-cut fries, its signature ShackSauce, flat-top hot dogs, milkshakes in multiple flavors and vegetarian options.

Rays still not sold on stadium deal after Pinellas bond vote

Pinellas County is ready to proceed with a bond sale to help fund a new Tampa Bay Rays stadium, but the team is still unwilling to cover cost overruns, jeopardizing the whole deal.

Ciccio's Italian restaurant to open in South Tampa before year-end

Ciccio Restaurant Group will open its Italian concept in one of its South Tampa properties before the end of the year.

Jay Luigi, which Tampa-based CRG debuted in St. Petersburg, will open on Dec. 19 in the South Howard Avenue restaurant property that was previously home to CRG’s Luv Child.

Developer secures $50M tax rebate for 30-acre mixed-used Pasco development

The first phase of Legacy Wiregrass Ranch, a dense mixed-use development on a former Pasco County cattle ranch, is one step closer to reality.?

Pasco County commissioners voted 5-0 last week to approve a $50 million ad valorem tax rebate incentive over 30 years to offset roughly $85 million of Wiregrass’ investment in public infrastructure for Legacy Wiregrass phase one.

Tampa International Airport breaks ground on $1.5 billion Airside D

After years of planning, Tampa International Airport has officially begun a massive $1.5 billion expansion project.

The airport held a groundbreaking for the new Airside D terminal Wednesday morning. The 600,015-square-foot facility will have 16 gates and is expected to open in 2028. It will be the first new airside at TPA in 20 years and will serve as an international terminal.
