Industry Convenes for 2023 RV/MH Hall of Fame Induction
Surrounded by hundreds of friends, family and colleagues, the Class of 2023 was inducted into the RV/MH Hall of Fame Monday, Aug. 21, in a song-filled ceremony at the Northern Indiana Event Center in Elkhart, Ind.
The 51st annual ceremony also included a posthumous presentation of the Darryl Searer Spirit Award to U.S. Rep. Jackie Walorski, as well as special recognition of former Fleetwood Enterprises and Monaco Coach executive Jim Sheldon, a member of the 2021 Hall of Fame induction class.
Wholesale Shipments to Canada Down 60% Through June
The?Canadian Recreational Vehicle Association (CRVA)?reports that RV Wholesale Shipments into Canada for the 2nd Quarter ending June 30, 2023 totaled 8,326 units compared to 20,436 in 2022, representing a decrease of 59.3% year over year.
According to Statistical Surveys Inc. the Grand Rapids, Mich.-based provider of industry data, RVDA of Canada reported that Retail Activity during the 2nd Quarter totaled 14,353 units and when compared to the wholesale shipment figure of 8,326. Canadian RV dealer inventory levels significantly decreased during the quarter, which would be considered an abnormal historical occurrence, according to a CRVA release.
