For the first time Endress+Hauser achieved the highest performance level of the @EcoVadis audit - the platin medal. We reached 76 out of 100 points in the international EcoVadis sustainability rating, four more than in the previous year.
We achieved further improvements in the areas of environment and sustainable procurement. In terms of ethics, labor and human rights, we were able to maintain the very good position in the benchmark comparison.
Sustainable corporate culture
The idea of sustainability is deeply rooted in our company. Comprehensive responsibility is a core value of our corporate culture. As a family business, we want to combine economic success with ecological and social progress. Already since 2014, we have been producing a sustainability report together with the annual report, which relates ecological, social and economic factors.
Continuous improvement
Our products, solutions and services help customers in the process industry to use resources efficiently, reduce pollutant emissions, avoid waste and protect the environment. And we as a company improve continuously our own ecological footprint. For example, we increasingly supply buildings and infrastructure with sustainably generated energy, and with video conferencing we reduce travel.
Personal goals
Sustainability is also an ever-present topic for us as a family. My son often gives me a lot of feedback on what we can do better in terms of ecology. We changed from print to digital newspaper; we take more often the bike and we attach great importance to buying regional products just to name a few examples. I like the exchange with the younger generations and their spirit on that topic.
We all have it in our hands to make our world more sustainable - we just have to do it.

3 年The platinum medal actually says that we are in the top-1% of the companies compared, an excellent achievement. If we want to further grow sustainably, this commitment to environment, social and ethical topics will remain of utmost importance. I feel Endress+Hauser Group is on a very good way here.
