Top Productivity Tip of 2022: Create a Morning Routine

If you have any serious interest in better time management, you've probably heard this common piece of advice over the past couple of years: Create a morning routine.

You'll find you're a lot more effective, as in you'll produce better results, if you don't have to think about what to do first and what to do next for as far into your day as possible.

What should be in your morning routine?

That's really up to you and your values, or highest priorities.

It's best to dedicate time to your highest priorities as early in the day as you can.

For an events coordinator, a morning routine could look like this:

  1. Rise early and start the day with a run or some other movement.
  2. Come back and practise yoga or meditation (or both).
  3. Go to work on your top three action steps for the day.

Your morning routine can be as simple as that. Or it can have as many steps as you like.

The important thing is that once your feet hit the floor in the morning, you run on autopilot for the first several hours.
