Atlassian is trying to give Product Managers more reasons to use Jira than simply “because my developers use it.” With the introduction of Jira Product Discovery, the maker of software tools for product teams has created a “home for product discovery.” The new tool gives you idea management and stakeholder management capabilities and a place to track your user research activities.
Even though knowing SQL (beyond being able to spell it) is always a good idea for product managers, there are probably times when you’ll want to work with data without having to mess around with writing SQL scripts. Equals wants to help you out by allowing you to easily view and analyze data from various sources with its Dashboards feature. This feature is especially helpful if you need to provide the same view of data to your stakeholders regularly.
Many dubious uses of generative AI tools are showing up these days. But some uses seem to make more sense than others. One of them is OtterPilot from OtterAI. This plugin for the transcription tool auto-generates key takeaways from your transcribed meetings. That can help you get your meeting notes out quicker, but with all applications of generative AI, it’s always a good idea to trust but verify.
Not wanting to let Twitter have all the fun, Meta recently introduced a subscription service for Instagram and Facebook that allows you to purchase a badge that marks your account as verified. One distinct difference between the Meta version and the Twitter version? Meta is trying to at least attempt to verify you by asking you to confirm your identity with a government-issued ID. This continues a trend of charging people extra for features that some would argue should be table stakes for a social network.
