Podcasts are popular<- Agreed! All the thinking leaders have one<- Disagree! There ARE some great podcasts out there and I'm partial to ones like Unexpected Hobbies of Financial Advisors podcast! There are also many advisors and companies doing a helluva job marketing without a podcast. Just sayin!

To echo what some others have said, quantity of followers might not correlate to quality of audience. When I look at the view/listen counts on the podcast episodes where I've been a guest, I'm never overwhelmed by the raw number. But I still have gotten new leads and new business as a result of those podcast appearances. So clearly some of "the right people" are listening, and all parties are getting value from the podcasting process. If we add in how AI is likely to parse and value podcast content, it's hard to estimate what their long term value will be to the creators.

Absolutely LOVE this list! Gonna play a little marketer's devil's advocate and point out that followers or subscribers don't always equal those taking action. For those starting a podcast, just a reminder to look at those metrics AND the metrics of how you want people interacting with your brand after they listen!
