Top Minds Unveil How to Build a Self-reliant Semiconductors Ecosystem in India

The inaugural edition of Accenture’s Semicon Futurecast 2024 saw top minds from the government, industry, academia and ecosystem partners converge to discuss ideas and insights on how to build a self-reliant ecosystem of semiconductors in India. With India’s clear ambitions to make a mark in the global supply chain, especially in manufacturing and packaging, and to create a robust ecosystem for the semiconductors industry in India—the Accenture Semicon Futurecast was a perfect forum for over 50 attendees across sectors to exchange relevant ideas, insights and innovations.

The conference—inaugurated by Rajeev Chandrasekhar , former union minister—featured a keynote address and power-packed sessions on building the semiconductors ecosystem, future growth levers and challenges and business reinvention. The sessions highlighted how expanding the semiconductor market in India is an important inflection point for the industry.?As India leverages its demographic dividend and talent availability, it is imperative to become proactive leaders in semiconductors in areas like automation, security and emerging technologies. The unanimous verdict was to foster and grow partnerships among industry, academia, ecosystem partners and the government to make an indelible mark in the global semiconductors sector.
