The Sky (Still) Isn't Falling
I have been saying the same thing for the last 2 years despite all the naysayers that seem to want to wish the economy would go south.
Now, Wells Fargo's strategists have come out with a robust forecast for 2025 as interest rates decline. They even went so far as to compare it to 1995. Let's just say there was HUGE growth in 1995 for those of you too young to remember.
And for those of you still holding off on growth plans.
If you're not growing, you're dying.

Summer's Gone!
In Minnesota, Labor Day Weekend marks the official end of Summer.
This got me to thinking two things.
First, dang that was quick!
Second, companies need to get work filling open roles if they want to be ready for 2025.
Why?
Many of my Fortune 500 clients consider themselves to be doing well if they fill open mid to senior level positions in 80 business days or less. That's the end of the year if they start immediately the day after Labor Day!
And the more they wait, the less companies will be able to take advantage of the promising economic forecast for 2025.

Remember the first day of school?
Chances are you met it with both excitement and trepidation.
You were excited by the prospect of catching up with friends, playing your favorite sport or other school activities.
You were probably also a little anxious at the coming school work, tests and the coming critiques of your back to school fashion choices.
And yes, we all had some questionable fashion choices and potentially some really bad hair to boot. (Ask me about having a perm in 2nd grade. Not good.)
This is also the first day back in the office for many. And like those kids going back to school, it is being met with excitement and trepidation.
Excitement for what the balance of the year may bring in the way of new opportunities to grow your business.
Trepidation for what threats or risks maybe lying in wait. And yes, there is always the uncertainty that comes with an election year.
Here is what I believe. Whether you are a child going back to school or a business leader going back to work, if you lean into the excitement, you are going to have better outcomes.
In short, we tend to attract that which we focus on. If we are dominated by fear of what may happen, we can't focus on the excitement of what can happen.
So as this week brought the first day of school, focus on the excitement!
