Accenture and Oracle Expand Their Partnership
Accenture and Oracle have expanded their over thirty-year partnership. They will invest in developing new generative AI solutions, tools, and training to help companies maximize the value of their data, drive next-level growth, and promote continuous innovation. The two companies will work together to help clients across industries "reinvent" their business with generative AI. Together, they will leverage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Generative AI to improve resilience, increase efficiency, deliver better experiences, keep client data secure, and provide finance teams with real-time data analysis tools.
Alteryx Drops New Research on Awareness and Sentiment of GenAI in 2024
Alteryx, an AI-centric enterprise analytics provider, released findings from in-depth new research into the awareness of and general sentiment toward generative AI (GenAI) in 2024. The “Market Research: Attitudes and Adoption of Generative AI” report surveyed 2,000 global IT business leaders and 3,000 members of the general public to gather insights that expose the differing perceptions of how the world is navigating and embracing these technologies.
Atlan Secures $105 Million in New Venture Capital Funding
Atlan, a data and AI governance platform, has raised $105 million in a Series C funding round led by GIC, Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund, along with co-investor Meritech Capital. Existing investors Salesforce Ventures and PeakXV Partners also participated in the round, bringing Atlan’s total raised to more than $206 million, including contributions from top institutional investors such as Insight Partners and Waterbridge Ventures.
Boomi Unveils New AI Agents, Slew of Product Updates, Acquisitions
Boomi, an intelligent integration and automation provider, has acquired APIIDA’s federated API management business and API management assets from Cloud Software Group. In addition to the features gained through those two acquisitions, Boomi detailed several new platform capabilities that it's been developing in-house. The latter enhancements are headlined by a set of artificial intelligence agents designed to ease customers’ day-to-day work.
Broadcom Launches a SaaS Version of its Automic Automation Solution
Broadcom, a global technology provider, has announced that its Automic Automation solution is now available Software as a Service (SaaS). Automic SaaS will provide companies with the same functionalities as the on-premise Automic Automation solution with the added benefits of the SaaS format. For example, Automic SaaS equips users with advanced workload automation and orchestration capabilities across hybrid and hybrid-cloud environments. Other benefits include always-on innovation, cost efficiency, enhanced security features, simplified agent deployments, and expert support.
Camelot Secure Named Winner of Cyber Defense Magazine’s Top InfoSec Innovator Award
Camelot Secure (Camelot), a cybersecurity solutions company, announced this week that its Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) Hunting service was honored at Cyber Defense Magazine’s 11th Annual Top InfoSec Innovator Awards. “We scoured the globe looking for cybersecurity innovators that could make a huge difference and potentially help turn the tide against the exponential growth in cyber-crime. Databricks Announces Vector Search and Model Serving Enhancements
The company announced the general availability of Vector Search and major updates to Model Serving that make it easy for enterprises to build high-quality RAG applications with native capabilities available directly in the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform. Those updates to Model Serving include a new user interface, performance improvements for deploying large LLMs, improved governance and auditability, and support for Claude3, Gemini, DBRX, and Llama3.
IBM Releases the IBM Copilot Runway
IBM has announced the availability of IBM Copilot Runway, a new offering from IBM Consulting that can help enterprises create, customize, deploy, and manage their copilots, including Copilot for Microsoft 365. This offering can seamlessly integrate copilots' generative AI functionalities into an organization, enhancing productivity and supporting continued business success. IBM Consulting also announced that it formed a dedicated practice for consultants with Microsoft copilot skills, credentials, and expertise to guide clients on their AI transformation journeys.
Microsoft Announces Live Connect for Power BI Report Integration with OneDrive
Microsoft recently announced that users can now view Power BI reports in ODSP with data live connected to a semantic model. This new functionality is designed to elevate the user experience as they utilize existing Power BI, One Drive, and SharePoint integrations. It can also enhance internal teamwork by streamlining the collaboration process on live data reports, allow users to use the familiar OneDrive and SharePoint interfaces and features as they manage Power BI files, and more.

OpenAI Set to Unveil Perplexity Search Engine Competitor Next Week
OpenAI will reportedly be announcing an AI-powered search engine for its flagship chatbot, ChatGPT. The new search tool will likely be embedded within ChatGPT and source information directly from the Internet. It will be partly powered by Microsoft’s Bing search engine. The announcement is expected to launch on Monday, May 13th.
Oracle Unveils New AI Coding Assistant
Oracle recently announced its plans for Oracle Code Assist, an AI code companion designed to help developers improve velocity and enhance their code consistency. Code Assist is powered by LLMs, runs on the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and is optimized for Java, SQL, and application development on OCI. Capabilities include code suggestions based on learned context, API documentation generation, annotations to describe code functionality, code summarization, and tools for conducting pull requests that merge changes into a repository.
ServiceNow Announces a Collaboration with IBM
ServiceNow has announced a collaboration with IBM to help companies accelerate the impact of generative AI technologies in their enterprise. The partnership—announced at ServiceNow’s annual customer and partner event, Knowledge 2024—involves a new integration that combines the power of ServiceNow's Now Platform with IBM watsonx, which will help mutual customers and partners boost productivity. ServiceNow will also be incorporating watsonx.ai and the large language models (LLMs) in the IBM Granite foundation into the Now Assist GenAI experience for ServiceNow customers.
Sprinklr Expands its Platform with a Collection of New Tools and Features
Sprinklr, a unified customer experience management (Unified-CXM) platform for modern enterprises, has announced several new features and enhancements at its CXUnifiers 2024 event in New Orleans. The announcements include the launch of Sprinklr Digital Twin, the generative AI-powered Sprinklr Surveys feature, an out-of-the-box crisis management solution, new contact center connectivity via Sprinklr VoiceConnect, a self-serve version of Sprinklr Social, a new Sprinklr Community, and a Sprinklr Project Management and Collaboration solution.
