With the integration of Google Cloud's Gemini models, Alteryx can deliver AI functionality that lowers the threshold for new users to get started on their analytics journey. This will help them accelerate productivity for building analytic workflows and give their teams a conversational interface for interacting with company data.
Andesite AI Launches With $15.25M in Initial Funding
Andesite AI, a McLean, VA-based company dedicated to delivering technology to overburdened cybersecurity teams, emerged from stealth with $15.25m in initial funding. Co-developed by Red Cell Partners and General Catalyst and led by CEO Brian Carbaugh, Andesite has built an advanced AI security analytics platform to "empower both private- and public-sector cyber analysts to defend against advanced persistent threats (APTs)." By leveraging artificial intelligence (AI), the solution analyzes decentralized data sets at scale to help cyber defenders and analysts more quickly surface threats and vulnerabilities, prioritize and allocate resources, and respond and remediate in a way that improves security posture and reduces cost.
Cohesity Extends Cyber Resilience?with New IBM Investment
Cohesity has announced that it is expanding its cyber resilience collaboration with IBM. Together, the companies will accelerate the development of cyber resilience capabilities that address organizations' need for increased data security and resilience across their hybrid cloud environments. Additionally, the collaboration will bring?Cohesity DataProtect?together with IBM’s?Storage Defender Solution?to help joint customers protect, monitor, manage, and recover data.
Contentstack Details its Partnership with Google Cloud
Contentstack, a composable digital experience platform (DXP) provider, has partnered with Google Cloud. The partnership will expand the addressable market for composable digital experience by providing global brands with more options for creating, managing, and delivering solutions. Additionally, Contentstack will be listed on the Google Cloud Marketplace, receive Google Cloud hosting support, and obtain the Google Cloud Partner Level for the Build engagement model, a program that helps customers speed time to value for their digital transformations.
Epicor Surpasses $1 Billion in Annual Recurring Revenue
Epicor, a global provider of industry-specific enterprise software, has surpassed $1 billion in annual recurring revenue (ARR). In its 2023 fiscal year, the company had a 42-percent year-over-year growth in software-as-a-service (SaaS)-based cloud revenue, with 70 percent of its new customers using a subscription-based solution. Joe Ayers, Epicor CFO, says, "While we're recognizing this $1 billion ARR milestone today, we are firmly focused on the road ahead in continuing to invest and deliver strong value to our customers—and that focus is centered on AI." Epicor will detail its new cognitive, AI-centric ERP strategy later this year at the Epicor Insights 2024 event.
Google Announces Axion, the First Arm-Based CPU for Data Centers
As part of the Google Cloud Next 2024 event in Las Vegas, Google announced its new Axion processor. The processor was designed using Arm's Neoverse V2 CPU for data centers and is tailored to their needs. Arm-based processors are often a lower-cost and more energy-efficient option. Google's announcement came right after Arms CEO Rene Haas issued a warning about the energy usage of AI models.
Infor Launches New GenAI and ESG Reporting Solutions
Infor, a global provider of industry-specific business cloud software, has launched Infor GenAI and ESG Reporting, new solutions designed to help companies improve productivity and report on their environmental footprint with improved accuracy, transparency, and consistency. For example, Infor GenAI leverages a company's industry data and processes—combined with LLMs when appropriate—to maximize productivity across use cases.
Informatica Extends Partnership with Google Cloud
Informatica, an enterprise cloud data management provider, has announced several new solutions, product innovations, and an expanded partnership with Google Cloud. The news, shared at the Google Cloud Next event in Las Vegas, also includes the debut of Informatica's Master Data Management (MDM) Extension for Google Cloud BigQuery. This BigQuery can reduce the time to onboard high-quality customer master data, enabling customers to develop and deploy their customer data platform and generative AI applications on Google Cloud.

Microsoft Details the New Features Coming to its Dynamics 365 Solution
Microsoft has announced several innovations for its Microsoft Dynamics 365 suite that will help professionals across business functions solve challenges, streamline workflows, and focus on creating impactful customer experiences. To get started using Copilot, users will need to write access to at least a single workspace that is assigned to a?paid Fabric capacity (F64 or higher) or Power BI Premium capacity (P1 or higher) that has?Copilot enabled.
NSA Issues Guidance for Maturing Data Security
The National Security Agency (NSA) is issuing guidance for maturing data security and protecting access to data at rest and in transit. The recommendations in the Cybersecurity Information Sheet (CSI), “Advancing Zero Trust Maturity Throughout the Data Pillar,” are intended to ensure only those with authorization can access data. The capabilities outlined in the CSI integrate into a comprehensive Zero Trust (ZT) Framework. “Malicious cyber actors continuously increase their ability to infiltrate networks and gain access to sensitive data,” said Dave Luber, NSA’s Director of Cybersecurity. “Assuming that breaches will occur, implementing the pillars of the Zero Trust Framework is how we combat that activity.”
Salesforce Announces Public Sector Einstein 1 for Service
Salesforce has announced details on Public Sector Einstein 1 for Service, which provides government employees with CRM, trusted AI, and data capabilities designed to help them automate administrative tasks, provide service to constituents, generate case reports, capture real-time call transcriptions, document case interactions, and more. Built on Salesforce's Einstein 1 platform, this offering also provides several Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) compliant tools to ensure government agencies can drive productivity while meeting regulatory requirements.
