USA- New York Full-time Nanny in NYC- Midtown.
We are seeking an exceptionally well-referenced nanny for our client, a busy family with two school-aged children. The position is full time, live out (except summer and when the family is traveling). 1:00 - 8:30 pm plus some occasional later evenings and weekend coverage. Typically, the nanny would help to get the kids from school and to their after-school activities, assist with homework, warm and plate the food already prepared by the cook for kids and adults and tidy up the kitchen. Time permitting, help housekeeper with laundry for kids, ironing. Additionally, the nanny should have no other outside commitments as she/he must be able to travel with clients, frequently, as the client does not use nannies from hotels. Packing and unpacking for the kids is an essential part of the job as is getting clothes and supplies ready for every day. Must keep everything around the children and their properties tidy and organized. Nanny must have a good knowledge of Manhattan, capable of having initiative for finding and organizing activities and outings and have enough experience to be fully comfortable taking the kids around, not only in Manhattan but while traveling as well. She should be able to help to organize birthday parties, playdates, and school events. She should also be able to handle beautiful clothes and put outfits together for everyday wear and for traveling. Bilingual French and/or Spanish along with perfect English would be a big plus. The client adds, "We would like someone to help our kids to grow well educated and knowledgeable, not just someone to drive them around and put them to bed." The nanny has to be able to travel with the family, not only domestically but internationally as well (sometimes very far and for up to 3 weeks at a time). US citizenship preferred because visas for Europe are sometimes hard to obtain. The person should be an experienced driver and must swim. Pay is generous and paid by the hour. MUST have at least three years of prior nanny experience in the New York Metro area with excellent references.
