Top CSR Conferences in 2019
Amanda Ponzar
Influential Communications & Marketing Executive & Highly Networked Social Impact Leader
If you want to change the world or you work on employee engagement, community relations, social impact, or citizenship, these are the places to be and the people to see. Check out my favorite corporate social responsibility (CSR) events:
1.) Charities@Work Employee Engagement Summit
Held in New York City, the annual Employee Engagement Summit is unique as it’s led by a corporate advisory council of CSR pros and is vendor agnostic. This council crafts a hands-on, practical event to tackle the toughest issues, leveraging the power of employees to be the solution. Topics range from harnessing employee activism to improving internal and external communication to using skilled volunteering to target hard-to-reach employees. The event also offers a preconference for new CSR leaders, plus lots of networking, breakouts and table discussions. I first attended this Summit in 2016 and have had the privilege to help run it the past few years. Check out the 2019 event, now in its 18th year!
2.) Brands Taking Stands Forum
I really enjoyed 3BL’s conference last year, and it wasn’t just the delicious food. The short, snappy sessions boasted strong multimedia content plus a dynamic variety of speakers, emcees, and panel interviewers. The sessions drew on diverse perspectives from companies, nonprofits, government, researchers, vendors, and media experts, all discussing today’s most pressing issues and the public stances companies are taking. Check out the 2019 event.
3.) U.S. Chamber Citizenship Conference
The 2018 “Better Together” Corporate Citizenship Conference was one of the better chamber events I’ve attended. As always, the Chamber draws a powerhouse of corporations, but I appreciated most the intentional emphasis on breaking down barriers, with a focus on mental health and people with disabilities. Don’t miss the 2019 event.
4.) Influence Nation Summit
Millennial expert Derek Feldman brought mega brands to the stage to influence America to act. From National Geographic to AdCouncil to the incredible Saru Jayaraman from ROC United, to Lady Gaga’s Born this Way Foundation, all the speakers shared how to break through and drive your message home. Check out the 2018 summit.

6 年Amen about Charities@Work!?
Executive coach. Life coach. Author. Publisher. I help people level up, live with courage, and lead with passion.
6 年I've said many times that Charities@Work has been my favorite for quite a few years. I've also really appreciated Zeev Klein's Social Innovation Summit, and I've found the Boston College conference very strong at times.
