Cloud computing is the servers on the internet to “storeâ€, “manage†and “process†data. The difference is, instead of using your own servers, you are using someone else’s servers to do your task, paying them for the amount of time you use it for.
Generally, cloud computing provides three types of services, namely
- Information as Service (IAAS)
In IAAS cloud provider gives raw hardware as a service. Example, Azure VM, Amazon EC2.
- Platform as Service (PAAS)
PAAS gives a platform to publish without giving access to the underlying software or OS.
- Software as Service (SAAS)
SAAS provides software as a service.

AWS has become an economical alternative to on-premises servers due to its usage-based billing formula. Azure is a cloud provider that can be used for accessing Microsoft’s infrastructure for the cloud. Azure lacks upfront costs or an appreciable time delay in resource provisioning and capacity is available on demand. Since it is a usage-based billing formula, Azure has become a compelling option for enterprises to transfer from on-premise Windows servers to the cloud. Azure can be utilized at any scale, from a startup to a Big Enterprise.
- Google Cloud Platform
GCP is a cloud computing platform that provides infrastructure tools and services for users to build on top of. Google thrives on the collection and subsequent leveraging of data irrespective of category of the data. If an enterprise wants to deal with a huge amount of data GCP can be a good option as a cloud provider.
- IBM Cloud Computing
