What is CTA? Or "Call To Action?"
A Call To Action (CTA) is a link or prompt on a website or post that tells the user to take a specific action. It serves as a transaction between you and your reader.
It tells the reader what to do next and prompts them to take immediate action to visit your website, download your ebook, subscribe to an email list, comment on your post, and do other things you want them to take action in.
Typically, this is a written command or action phrase such as "signup now" download, comment below, etc.
The more people engage, the longer people stay on your profile, which is favored in the Linkedin algorithm.
What are the different types of CTA?
An Offer
An offer is something that is surrounded by your product or services. It is a mini intro of what you do and how you can help people.
It is targeted to a very specific market or industry in your niche. In the example below, you can see that I target a specific group of entrepreneurs interested or who have thought about launching their own online business.
You want this CTA to get people to raise their hands and connect with you directly. This will allow you the opportunity to go more into detail about your product and or service and how you can best support your future clietns.
Call To Actions In Post
Incorporating "Call To Actions" into your posts will allow the reader to take action to your content. This specific action will encourage readers to engage by 50% which helps extend the life of your post on the Linkedin News feed.
CTA In Your Comments Section
Including resourceful "CTA" links into the comments section on your post allows the reader to sign up or connect with you offline. Plus, the benefit is that it has a better conversion rate than you including your link into your actual post.
Including links in the posts and not in the comments is not favored in the Linkedin algorithm or any social media for that matter. Here's how you do it.

Newsletters
Newsletters are a great way to get readers to sign up and follow your content. You want to ensure that these types of content are beneficial to the reader. Typically I use them as "how to's'" And they do well.
Email List
If you don't have an email list set up, create one TODAY!
Having an email list is a great way to target people in your specific niche to sign up for the amazing offer you are about to tell them. Also, tracking these metrics allows you to see who is responding and opening up your messages just in case you need to make any changes to your content.

What do you want to learn more about from your ideal cleint? Ask direct questions and always leave the last question as an option to comment so you don't entrap people to answer something untruthful.
