The top 7 reads this week!
One week on from the World Servitization Convention, it is good to reflect on the positive responses but also the indictors of interest. The Advanced Services Group sold a significant number of the specialist 'mini-guides' that were discussed under a 'Tools & Techniques's Session' on Day 2 of the convention.
These servitization-related mini-guides help firms understand what #servitization is, how advanced services links, how it can be adopted, where you start, how you bring ideas together and they provide the frameworks and templates to help manufacturing and technology-innovating firms to servitize.
The biggest seller last week was 'Servitization Contracts: Demystifying financing and contracts for advanced services' taking 30.4% of the sales. This was written by a team of academics and servitization specialists at the Advanced Services Group (@ProfTimBaines @DrAliBigdeli @Ianmachan @Neil Tumber) with the help of @DLLgroup (Lee Thompson) & @GowlingWLG_UK (@BreedonRobert).
The next most popular mini-guides that we sold included:
- Experiencing Servitization (17.4% of sales)
- Creating compelling stories for Servitization (17.4% of sales)
The 'Creating compelling stories for Servitization' is one of our latest publications - with the work on this topic led by @DanAndrewsPhD - and it seems to have gained significant traction over WSC, in part because of the sessions hosted by @DanAndrewsPhD but also because of the appropriateness of the material. It is pointless developing a servitization strategy or advanced service offering if your customer isn't part of the conversation. This mini-guide helps address this disconnect.
Four other mini-guides were of interest to delegates and they accounted for the remaining 34.8% of sales. These included:
- Customer Value Propositions for Servitization
- Performance Advisory Services
- Advanced Services Business Models
- Servitization Visioning
These mini-guides are written by the academic team and servitization specialists at The Advanced Services Group and there are a further batch of servitization/advanced services mini-guides due to be published over the coming 6-months.
