It’s already Fall, and that means Christmas is right around the corner!
Holidays are the perfect time to reach your prospects in a great mood. And, great news: Consumer Confidence Index numbers haven’t been this high prior to a holiday shopping season in 18 years, according to the Conference Board. To take advantage of this buying season and successfully execute your holiday marketing goals, focus on your audience and figure out how to seamlessly connect the dots with your content.
Here are a few tips on how to make the most of your holiday marketing:
Personalization
Encourage people to participate in your campaign with their own content. Ask people to caption your image, or even better, ask them to enter a photo or video of their own that portrays your brand. Choose a winner and feature them on your social media accounts.
The more innovative and fun the experience is, the more likely your customers are to share it on social media and beyond.
Company Camaraderie
This is one that you should do if you work with others as often as possible. Get your staff involved in your marketing campaigns. Studies show there is only a 2 to 8 percent overlap between employee and company social networks. Getting your coworkers to participate can exponentially boost marketing efforts.
Think Emotions
People are emotional, especially during the holidays. As a result, a successful holiday marketing campaign should relate to your target audience on an emotional level. During the holidays, people tend to be thinking “warm and fuzzy” emotions like friendliness, love, kindness, charity, and gratitude.
Sharing Is Caring
This quote “sharing is caring” couldn’t be more true. Making your holiday marketing campaign easy to share is simple and so powerful. People are so much more accepting of campaigns shared by friends than discovered as a sponsored post.
Try adding social icons to your email campaigns, allowing recipients to share with a single click and make sure you’re creating engaging copy that people can’t wait to share.
Consistency is Key
You may be marketing on all cylinders, which is great! Just keep in mind that consistency in your branding is key. This means your design: colors, layout, and offer all look the same across the board of online marketing.
Give Them Something To Talk About
Let’s face it. America loves online shopping. Social media makes it easy to create offers with engaging campaigns such as contents, games and countdowns. Again, don’t forget the power of your email list when reaching out to customers and marketing your deals online.
Creating a bond with your customers happens so much easier over the holidays, don’t you think? The positive feelings they have of gratitude, friendship and family are abundant and easy to reflect in your marketing efforts. By utilizing these six tips, your business will be set up for a super successful holiday season.
