The Top 6 Common Causes of Stress

As we go into November, I’ll be head down focussing on Stress Awareness Week.

With 74% of people reportedly unable to cope with the levels of stress in their lives, stress management is more important now than ever. The psychological effects of stress result in 61% feeling anxious, and a worrying 32% with suicidal thoughts.

I’m working with professional services and housing organisations to provide training, workshops and group coaching to ensure they renew their focus, knowledge and skills on stress awareness. One thing I’ll be sharing is these common causes of stress:

How do these numbers align with what you see in your organisation??

If you still need support on Stress Awareness comment or dm Emma Langton to arrange a call to discuss needs. It doesn’t just have to happen in one week!

What's Going Well with Leadership & Wellbeing?

My most popular support right (aside from Stress Awareness and Stress Management) is for group coaching or workshop training on Mental Health Awareness for Managers so that they can spot the signs of mental health issues, be confident having conversations with people about wellbeing or mental health and able to signpost effectively.

After that, I’m delighted to say the resilience is back!? Before covid many organisations were shying away from using the work resilience and avoiding any training, support or coaching that talked about resilience.?? It had almost become an ‘overused’ word and people often called it ‘just a buzz word’.

However, over the last few months, resilience is back.? Many organisations are recognising that it’s an important topic AND that it needs revisiting frequently to ensure people are able to work to their best, despite busy, demanding or difficult workloads. I’ve been busy supporting organisations with:

  • coaching and mentoring leaders, so that there is greater leadership resilience and agility, not just for the leaders themselves but also in their teams, helping them to manage changing challenges quickly.
  • delivering workshops so that we empower staff with insight and tools to make positive changes to enhance their resilience, health and wellbeing.
  • keynote talks that provide enthusiasm for re-launching wellbeing plans or support people to ramp up resilience through tough times.

All these sessions can be delivered virtually, in person or as a hybrid event.

I’m now taking bookings for 2024 so if you’d like to talk about leadership and wellbeing support and training get in touch with Emma Langton and let’s schedule time to plan. ? If you book before Friday 15th December, you’ll benefit from 2023 prices!
