Top 5 of the Week

Happy #Friday everyone! I love to learn and share what I'm learning, so I combined my week into one post in case you find any helpful or inspiring. A little eclectic but that's how I roll.
#5 is more of a personal update for the week and some cuteness to start the weekend off right! #partnerships #collaboration #collabunity #kitten #knitting #leadership #aitech #nonprofitmanagement #trust
1. Partnerships and Collaborations
I've been going back and reviewing as many of the ELG Insider sessions as I could from last week. A few have really expanded my thinking and understanding of partnerships, how we develop them, and the role of partnerships in companies. So far, here are my top sessions (and this is the first day of four that I am working through!)
Nearbound and the Rise of the 'Who' Economy with Jared Fuller and how trust is businesses' most valuable resource, and it will be the people and companies influencing our buyers who matter the most. Your partnerships have become your most valuable resource- are you treating them as such?
Nearbound Ecosystem Strategy and Orchestration with Allan Adler shared the one fact your C-suite needs to hear and accept: 80%+ of your B2B buyers want to start their purchasing process with a referral from someone they know*. Need I say more?
*Digital Bridge Partners and Harvard Business Review
Play Bigger with Nearbound: A Conversation with the Best Selling Author of "Play Bigger" with Kevin Maney introduced me to the Category Design and the strategy behind it.
I believe you can still register to get access to the recordings.
2. Nonprofit Management Trends
Have you checked out the Trust in Civil Society Report the Independent Sector just released?
The good news:
Nonprofits are still one of only two types of sectors (small business being the other) that are trusted by the majority of Americans.
The bad news:
Trust decreased by 4%, the sharpest decline since the Independent Sector started tracking trust.
What else?
Philanthropy is in trouble, with distrust increasing by 5%, which seems to be driven by high-net-worth individual giving.

Another interesting fact is that those who rated their own financial outlook as excellent or good rated trust in charities 22 points higher than those who rated their finances as good or fair.
There are a lot of important messages in here and a lot that the sector needs to grapple with.
3. Favorite Tech
I am loving Motion and its ability to keep my projects, tasks, multiple calendars and bookings organized. It's AI keeps getting better and it is keeping me on task a lot better than any other system I've tried before.
4. Leadership
"Sis, you are not here to match energy, you are here to SHIFT the atmosphere."
I am very vulnerable to others' energy. This reminder that I have the power to shift the atmosphere around me by how I carry myself, what I believe, and how I walk into a room is such a powerful and valuable reminder.
5. Personal favorites
I've been knitting a lot more to try and stay off my phone.
I'm currently knitting a hat for my husband.
And this guy is just making my week extra cute. Meet Oliver Higgins
