?2. Be patient with your listening - Have the right mind-set reminding yourself - Your coachee's success is your success. Be their advocate, be their accountability partner. Don’t jump in with advice
3. Demonstrate you are actively listening - remove outside distraction that divert your attention, check body language and eye contact
4. Clear all confusions - identify areas that sound vague or contradictory. Ask for clarification. Sometimes you can uncover critical information about the project, or the process when you prompt an employee to further explain a decision that may have been glossed over.
5. Summarize and paraphrase - Listen for meaning and fully focus. Provide concise summary, confirm you understand intend, value their thinking and be on the same page.?
