Top 5 reasons to hire a bookkeeper

So, you have tried almost everything in your knowledge ranging from advertising, personal selling and promoting your business on social media, but still don't see a substantial growth that you had expected to see.

You have an intuition that matters related to finances and accounting might be the key to unlock the door to progress still you are too occupied and stressed out to look at those haunting figures, then a bookkeeper is an answer to all you worry and tension.

Bookkeeping is the process of tracking all your company's financial transactions so you can see exactly where your business is spending money, where your revenues are coming from, and which tax deductions you will be able to claim.

Any successful business makes use of a bookkeeper in maintaining monetary transactions, keeping a close look budgeting, and preparing tax documents. A bookkeeper can be a small line of difference between a successful and failed business.

On top of maintaining transactions, bookkeepers will help your business in maximizing income and determining points where you can cut costs.

Bookkeepers are multitaskers who perform many tasks as needful towards the growth of a company. A company or business needs to hire a bookkeeper if they want to achieve new heights and make a business grow more.

Here are the top 5 reasons you should hire a bookkeeper if you want your business to have a substantial growth in a matter of months:

  1. Helps you catch more tax deductions – When a bookkeeper records and categorizes every monetary transaction in your business, you will be able to see which expenses are tax-deductible. Without year-round bookkeeping, you will forget about one of the deductions which might not have been of importance to you, keeping a close eye to these small transactions will help your business curb costs
  2. Helps in catching financial mistakes - A bookkeeper always keeps a close eye on the transactions in your business, which means you'll be able to find things like bankers invoicing errors or something as small as paying somebody twice or are sneaky subscription fees for service that you forgot to cancel.
  3. Will perform the task of an inspector for your money transactions - Keeping track of all your monetary transactions is essential for any business. A bookkeeper will be an extra pair of eyes in keeping a close watch of your cash flows; this will help you understand where you are spending the extra bit of money. Therefore, you will be able to gain a more in-depth insight into your transactions, which will help your business grow.
  4. Accountant have a symbiotic relationship - a bookkeeper ensures that your business's accounts are valid and up to date when the accountant needs them. The accountant can focus his skill and knowledge in making business recommendations to the board of directors, which will ultimately assist them in making business decisions helpful for the company.
  5. Helps you focus on business - The bookkeeper's job is to solely focus on the company's finances, he or she prepares the report and looks after the payment of expenses. Helping you to focus on the growth of your business rather than worrying about finances. Managing customers and client are stressful enough, adding the worry about your finances will put you on overload. A bookkeeper's sole responsibility is to concentrate on economics, letting you focus on the company's growth.

A bookkeeper doesn't just do simple data entry, there is much more to bookkeeping than many business owners realize. The next time you are wondering why there is a loophole in my financial accounts or 'why isn't my business growing?' In terms of financial assets, you know the answer.

Now you are aware that bookkeepers can do anything from regulating transactions to processing payroll, even managing them too. Either way, having a bookkeeper keeping track of your business finances will free up the time and energy needed for you to contribute towards the growth of your business.

Confusing the bookkeeping role with the accounting role is quite common for many not in tune with the financial side of the house. Accountants Controllers and CFOs are best used for strategy and direction rather than routine transaction processing - which is obviously still important to be done well!
