Top 5 online courses to enhance your Digital Marketing knowledge (all free)
Do you want to stand out as a marketeer, are you ready to upskill and become more digitally focused? As we see more of a direct focus on all things digital, marketing has seen a real change in recent times. Traditional marketing methods are still integral to any marketing strategy, however we are now seeing a shift towards newer, more digitally focused methods. Display Advertising, Analytics, PPC, SEO are all marketing terms that are becoming widely recognised. Marketing has changed, people have changed, trends have changed.
Now more than ever, it is paramount that as an individual you keep up and ensure you continue to learn and develop, this will not only ensure you can best serve your employer but also ensures you continue to create your own personal brand and gain an even better understanding of marketing as it is today.
As we see more and more people driving towards the internet and social media taking off like never before, now is the perfect time (if you haven't already) to add to your repertoire and learn more about digital marketing.
Have you applied for a job recently and been pushed back due to a lack of digital experience/knowledge?
Having spoken to many marketing candidates recently, I know that this is still a common reason for not getting a job or not been considered at CV sent stage. Companies are now looking out for digital marketing experience or at least some training in this field.
Do you want to take yourself and your employer to a different level?
By doing additional courses, you are allowing yourself the opportunity to bring a whole other dimension to your skill set, which then in turn benefits your employer and the company you work for. Perhaps you are gunning for a promotion but just need a little bit more to get this over the line, perhaps you want a pay rise but need to justify why you are worthy of this. Extra accreditation and education can aid your appeal on both counts.
Are you reliant on traditional marketing methods and losing track of what is current and relevant?
As I mentioned in my opening statement, traditional marketing methods are still extremely important and these have laid the foundations, but as the market shifts it is important that you shift with it. TikTok, Instagram, Facebook are all platforms that should now be thought about from a marketing perspective. TikTok has 650 million users worldwide, the stage has never been as big to put your brand out there and be recognised.
