Top 5 East Houston Restaurants To Help Right Now

  1. Huynh (912 St Emanuel St, Houston, TX 77003) - If you've never tried Vietnamese cuisine or are looking for a new spot, go check them out. They have a huge menu full of your favorite items. My go-to item is number 82, medium spicy, add broccoli. When social distancing is over, dine in to enjoy BYOB and low corkage fees.
  2. How to Survive on Land & Sea (3401 Harrisburg Blvd, Houston, TX 77003) - Okay, not technically a restaurant, but they do normally serve food. This is my favorite wine bar in town and they haven't even had their official grand opening (originally scheduled for March 29). They are offering 50% off to-go bottles of wine right now, so head on over and get your wine on.
  3. Maga's Restaurant (1123 Dumble St, Houston, TX 77023) - Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, you can't be this homestyle Tex-Mex. Fish tacos, enchiladas verdes, and beef gorditas are my favorites. Help out a small cafe by ordering to-go from here today!
  4. Mandola's Deli (4105 Leeland St, Houston, TX 77023) - The only Italian restaurant in Eastwood and open for business since 1975. Open for lunch until 6 pm, you should check out this place for meatball subs, chicken parmesan, and other pastas, pizzas and sandwiches.
  5. District 7 Grill (1508 Hutchins St, Houston, TX 77003) - I've been here for Lunch, Brunch, Dinner, and Happy Hour. They have an extensive menu covering burgers, salads, pizzas, homestyle entrees (turkey meatloaf lasagna is my mom's fave), and even oysters! I recommend the blackened mahi tostada, panko chicken salad,
