8 个月I used all those tricks and what I’ve found out is everything is a number’s game. I think 1 of the most difficult CV to implement the above tricks is for software developer/engineers. Especially with the metrics part. Metrics work well for sales, analysts, finance, project management, marketing, etc., but for software it’s very difficult to add metrics unless you say “I created a software in 2 days, instead of 3 months”, which is an unrealistic expectation. You could add that you saved on budgeting, but usually developers do not have access to the project budget or company financials, so how are they going to know, unless they’re part of the leadership team. What I noticed in all these CV advices is, most of them are geared towards non-tech CV. It’s hard to find advice for tech CV, especially in software.
