Key Points
Short Story
It was 2019 "Qing Ming" prayer month, I was doing my work and servicing families that went to Nirvana2 Kuala Lumpur to pay respect to their loved one's.
During that time there was a family that came to pray for their late father. While I was helping them, the topic of pre-planning was brought up by me to their son who was in his late 50's.
As he was listening, his mother grew uncomfortable and walked away. He was concerned because this has angered his mother.
But nonetheless, being a responsible person as he is, he started to discuss with me more about the benefits of pre-planning and started to pre-plan with me.
Lucky for him, during that month Nirvana had a promotion of buy one free one columbarium campaign.
After some consideration he decided to purchase the promotion. He had pre-plan for himself and his wife and at the same time for his son who was only 14 years old.
Until today I still keep in touch with him, and his entire family is still prosperous.

1. You have the financial control over your own funeral
Death is the natural process in life. When it happens, the responsibility and funeral cost will now fall on your family.
The current average funeral price has gone up from RM20,000 to RM28,000 excluding burial plot or columbarium costs.
Without any pre-planning or extra funds set aside, imagine the financial burden and stress of such an event being placed on your loved one's shoulder.

2. Time and space is on your side to consider all factors and concerns
By pre-planning early, you can look around and compare services and prices before committing to any decision.
This is great to avoid unnecessary pressure towards your family into making wrong choices during a stressful and emotional time when crisis occurs.
Also, you will be able to involve your family members in all your decisions.
3. There are many ways to celebrated and memorialize you.
By pre-planning ahead of time, you get to make decisions about everything for your final ceremony and your family won't wonder about what your wishes would be in life.
For the convenience of both you and your family, nothing is left to question. Everything will be taken care of as if you had planned it yourself.
4. You can choose to pay with an instalment plan
When you have pre-plan, you can pay the balance over a span of time instead of paying the whole in one big chunk.
The instalment plans will let you make smaller payments each month which is more manageable for people who are tight on cash.
This helps lighten your financial burdens and you will be able to plan your commitments more easily
5. You will be more financially secure with the right guidance and complete peace of mind.
One of the most costly and sometimes least considered events in a person’s life are end of life arrangements.
It is only sensible to prioritize pre-planning to complete your financial planning in life.
Planning ahead is a wonderful way to feel assured that everything is taken care of and you're making life easier for your family.
In the event that you pass on, they'll be overwhelmed with love knowing their affairs are in order and, more importantly, that they'll always be cared for and never have to worry about money again.
