Suggestion… Go outside and have a friend or peer take a photo of you on your smartphone using Portrait mode. This will blur out the background and outside photos provide great lighting.

Make sure you are smiling – Make sure to be looking straight ahead or turn slightly to the left. You never want to be looking to your right because then you will be looking off the page on your LinkedIn profile. No sunglasses and headshot is fine – shoulders and above.
