KiKi’s Take: This episode was my personal favorite of all of the association pods for this week! Michael’s insights on change management and sales were spot-on, but what really grabbed my attention was his approach to making people feel more comfortable on camera. The dynamic between the hosts and guests made me feel like I was right there with them, joining in on a truly engaging conversation. You’ll walk away with practical takeaways and plenty of food for thought.
2. The A100 Podcast
Episode: Unlocking the Power of Play: Advocacy and Innovation in the Video Game Industry Guest: Stanley Pierre-Louis (President & CEO, Entertainment Software Association) Host: Colleen Gallagher ( Release Date: September 18, 2024 ? Length: 33 min 53 sec
Stanley Pierre-Louis takes listeners into the ever-evolving world of video games, exploring the power of advocacy within the industry. He highlights how ESA represents the U.S. video game industry on key issues, focusing on how innovation in this space drives both entertainment and broader societal impacts.
KiKi’s Take: Interesting to learn how video games are more than entertainment. They are about fun and to stay connected. I think this would be a fun association to work for just because of the innovators in the space. My question is: Are there video games that would entice me more than the ones that exist now? What would they be? The average age of a video gamer is 36-years-old and the gender split is about 50/50. So…what is MY game? I haven’t found it yet. I was a Pac-Man, Mario Brothers, kinda gal back in the day.

KiKi’s Take: I kind of wish Brooke had a video version of her podcast. I think some of the resources she mentions in many, if not all, of her episodes, would be great to show people. I love the audio version, but I have gone to her website and searched on YouTube to see if she had a video version. But, alas! It appears not to exist yet! :(

This episode dives into simple yet effective strategies that drive loyalty, improve satisfaction, and build long-lasting member relationships through meaningful touchpoints. KiKi’s Take: Interesting to hear how MRAA builds?personas?for each engagement level, tracking?financial data?like total sales for certified dealers vs. level 4 dealers, to inform?marketing messaging?and improve communication for members at each level. Kinda neat to listen to as Matt shares his stats on improvement and what they improved.

KiKi’s Take: This is the first time this podcast is making an appearance on our list! I was drawn in by the promise of learning more about this benchmarking report. Who doesn’t want more data?!? What I was shocked by? Only 6% of associations reported that they are using AI. I downloaded the report to get more details.
