The TOP 4 ways to tell some writer’s speaking out their ass on LinkedIn and why you shouldn’t work with them… DUH

The TOP 4 ways to tell some writer’s speaking out their ass on LinkedIn and why you shouldn’t work with them… DUH

1. They start a post with “ALL COPYWRITERS/BUSINESS OWNERS DO X”

Heh, you thought your hook was clever, didn’t you? No, it just shows that your noggin’s up ye bum. You can’t know what ALL people are doing. You’re grasping at straws, and when people are actually correcting you, you deflate.?

I work hardest around here at expanding my views and learning how other people do things. The first step is accepting that each person has their own truth. Don’t work with marketers who only know one way to do stuff…

2. They use words they don’t understand

They start out by saying “writing’s all about empathy”. OK, that got me curious. The second line??

“So hit their pain points!”

Remember where you were when you lost your logical train of thought? Maybe we can still recover it!

Empathy is not just about understanding how someone feels. It’s about sharing in that feeling. If you just use knowledge to manipulate, you’re an A-hole, not an empath :)).

Diagnosing a pain point is one thing. Hitting it in order to produce a reaction is another. Wording, people! We’re writers, after all.?

As I mentioned many times, I’m a fan of the “jobs-to-be-done” approach, made popular by folks like Bob Moesta and Louis Grenier. No, I’m not tagging them. I’m not out to get clout, just prove a point. Look it up.

People can live with pain. You need to understand the trigger that drives an action. My mouse was broken for half a year before I decided to finally replace it. I replaced it because I had an important article to write and needed a faster mouse.?

3. They try to convince people to jump on the A.I. bandwagon

I get it, you use A.I. and it’s cool. But, for the LOVE of GOD, why do you have to convince me to sue (I was going for "use" but this typo is just GOLD) it too? Why do you feel the need to harp on and on about how it will replace me or become my assistant??

I’ll figure it out on my own, or I’ll simply lose my clients and you have one less competitor. From a tactical point of view, you stand to gain nothing.?

Unless… you’re selling A.I. writing classes. Got ya, bitch!?

4. They offer guarantees

“Do this, do that to guarantee sales!” Really, after Covid hit and destroyed some businesses and made others king of the hill, you have the audacity to guarantee anything??

Selling certainty is misguided, to say the least.?

And there you have it. Please, stay away from these people. Stop crediting them with your hard-earned money. You’re only making a fool of yourself, and you’ll end up regretting it later.?

I’m not even saying you should work with me (I’m not everybody’s cup of tea). There are plenty of other capable and talented writers out there, like Amit Phaujdar and/or Constantin "The Gaming Copywriter" Dumitru . Collaborating with either would benefit you.?

Just, pretty please with frosting and a cherry on top, stop working with monkey’s asses. So they’d stop with this maddening LinkedIn drivel.?

Thanks a bunch!?

Can't wait for AI to replace writers. Maybe writing will become more appreciated (like handmade crafts instead of "Shein crafts"). I like how every copyrighter I follow has an "low-key aggressive" post that gets a lot of engagement. Followed that pattern and I believe that's what every copyrighter/business should do! ;))) Good article here Vlad Adrian Iancu ! I can say for sure it's not written with AI ??;)

And to think that when you commented on my post yesterday, I thought "damn I intimidated the guy." The way I snorted at myself after reading this, shame on me. I don't even hold a candle to your brilliance sir. Retreating the waters.. retreating the waters I say. Okay, time to go and subscribe to your newsletter.
