Top 4 Design Trends in 2022

Top 4 Design Trends in 2022

Design trends are like clouds.

Here today. Gone tomorrow.

Yesterday minimalist all-white interiors were the rage and today it’s vivid colors.

It’s confusing sometimes, I know.

It’s 2022.

Goodness, how time flies!

And it’s time to refresh and renew.

You want warm and comforting.?

You want elegant and soft.

You’d love to walk into a room, fall into a chair and revel in the colors and textures around you.

Whether you need to update the look of your office, your healthcare center or your restaurant, you need design trends that are timeless, tasteful and up-to-date, despite ever-changing fashions.

So what’s in store for this coming year, you ask?

You know what?

I’ll let you in on some design secrets before they hit the road.

Do me a favor and keep it between us, kay?

Green and pink accents

Commercial spaces should not be cold and stony.

Let your customers walk into an inviting place where they feel wanted and valued.?

Cue the green and pink tones- the inspiring duo of 2022.

And they are not just intended for your bedroom.

These colors represent compassion, peace and reassurance.

Who wouldn’t want to walk into a space that projects these feelings?

You may be conjuring up an image of soft pastels like sage and pale pink.

Too delicate for your particular space?

No sweat.

The green-pink combo is extremely versatile.

How about an emerald green and a vibrant pink?

Or an olive green and a blush pink?

There are so many options.

And I’m feeling snug and warm all over just thinking about them!

Curved furniture

Think rolling ocean waves and grassy hills.

In a world of squares and geometric shapes, you’d think that curves are completely out of place, no?

But actually, we’re seeing this timeless feature creep back slowly but surely.

Think about it.

Your commercial space has lots of straight edges and sharp angles. Walls, desks, countertops, computers– there are straight lines wherever you turn.

You may want to soften that with a curved sofa or a set of curved chairs.

Because it makes your space go from straight, firm and linear, to accommodating, attractive and inviting.

And if you’re worried about that curved sofa taking up more space than a traditional square one, it may be worth losing those couple inches on the account of creating a welcoming and relaxing aura.?

If you’re asking me, I’d rather sink into a spongy curved armchair than a straight-backed chair.

How about you?

Luxurious textiles

Clean, fresh, white interiors are slowly stepping down and making way for…

…warm colors and rich textiles that will add depth and vibrance to your space.

I know what you’re thinking.

‘Textiles are the finishing touches to a room. I’ll think about them afterward.’

And I know what’s going through your mind now.

‘That’s creepy. How on earth does she know what I’m thinking?’

Don’t mind me. Knowing peoples’ qualms and hesitations about design trends comes with the territory.

So you were saying something about textiles being the finishing touches, weren’t you?

Hate to break it to you. But no.

Textiles can serve as the inspiration for a room and when used right they can bring the whole space together.

Experiment with layering different kinds of? fabrics for curtains, throw pillows, upholstery and rugs.

Airy silk curtains, rich woolen rugs, blended-cotton padded furniture covers.

And let’s not forget about velvet.

Velvet is dead and buried, you say?

Well, you’ll start seeing lots of velvet this year. It’s making a grand comeback and I’m super excited about it!

Vintage once again

Out with modern and clean. In with floral and woody.

Surprise!

2022 will be more ‘vintage’ than ever!

Rustic, simple and homey are the adjectives for this year.

Vintage design is beautiful and has an emphasis on the natural feel. And in a world that embraces sustainability, this design trend is a celebration.

Vintage adds so much personality to a space. Antique furniture pieces, last-century oil painting, light woods and? glass-and-stone ornaments can make your space uniquely yours.

It may be a good idea to rummage through your grandmother’s musty attic. Who knows what valuable pieces are hidden up there?

So there you have it.

The latest trends that you’ll start noticing once 2022 sets in.

You’re a step ahead of the game now that you have this inside information.

So go ahead and create something fresh, unique and stylish.
