Are you considering a career in nursing and wondered how you can make money as a nurse? I have 3 tips to help you make money as a nurse.
1. Complete your bachelors of science in nursing (BSN)
According to the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, in 2020, 41.1% of hospitals and other healthcare settings surveyed require a BSN. They found that 82.4% of employers prefer a baccalaureate prepared nurse. The National Institute of Medicine has called for a goal of 80% of nurses to hold bachelor’s degrees. There are many roads to a BSN with community colleges and universities providing access to a degree in either the traditional classroom or online settings.
