When people decide to start a Business the last thing on their mind is the Sign. I know this from experiencing this with many a customer. They are not sure which road to take. This is where we come in and guide them to the best Signage option for their business.
Here are 3 Tips that can help you get started on the right foot:
- Make sure that your Sign says what you do or is very easily identifiable with what you do. (Many new business owners like to get cute and it ends up backfiring on them. A good example is Chicken Kitchen, clearly you can eat chicken here... A not so good example would be "Habits" when they sell South American Empanadas...)
- Size does matter when it comes to Signs. You want to make sure that your Sign is visible from a good distance away. (A good rule of thumb is every 1 inch of letter height provides 10 feet of readability with the best impact. For example, 3” tall letters make the best impact within 30’; however, they can still be seen and read from up to 100’ away.)
- Color contrast is important. If you don't have a contrast in colors, your Sign visibility diminishes tremendously. This means that if the wall where your sign will go is blue then the color of your sign should be either white or red or a contrasting color of your liking. It is also recommended to use Primary colors for Sign selection.
