My top three tips when optimising Google #Adwords campaigns
Negative Keywords
1. Be mindful that what you EXCLUDE is just as important as what you TARGET. Your negative keyword list is essential to ensuring you don’t waste your budget bidding for clicks on irrelevant keywords.
Customisation
2. Optimising the full journey from the keywords you are bidding for, to the ad itself through to the landing page. Tailoring your ad copy to match the keywords you are bidding on and going the extra mile to customise your landing page to also include your ad copy, will help to increase conversions and improve your “quality score”, driving down your cost-per-click.
Write enough copy
3. Use all of the space available. In short, the more of the mobile phone screen you take up (the majority of traffic in 2019 will be from mobile search) the higher the chances of it being clicked. I see competitor ads almost daily that are half the size of our clients ads, along with it taking up less space, it is a wasted opportunity to entice the customer with engaging ad copy!
Good luck... (even though there is not much luck involved).
