The top 3 things you do to look like a Hot Mess!

My clients (sometimes) annoy me because they don't listen. And when they don't listen, I'm stressed because I know THEY are going to be stressed, and, EVEN WORSE, they won't get the professional and emotional results they want. As much as I want one, I do not own a fairy wand like Cinderalla's fairy stylist! If my clients don't listen to me, even if they HIRE me, they will not get the results they are paying for.

I want to give them the gift of relief of experiencing **the most amazing image** they've ever had (on stage or off.) But if they don't do these few things....it's all going to hell in a designer handbag.

Here's what they do wrong.

Image is about DETAILS. Most of my clients aren't into image and therefore, they don't understand that it's about details. They have some fantasy idea that shopping or styling is easy and FAST, that they should be able to knock it out in a few hours of shopping. You know....like a supermodel in Miami.

They are busy doing very important things in the world, like having fun skiing and surfing, or running meetings with global leaders on hugely important topics like world health. So they're not thinking about how they're going to look on stage, or what kind of Spanx they'll need.

They could care less. Until they see photos of themselves from the events, or on video. Then they're devastated and realize they need to enlist a professional and hire me.

1. They almost always wait too long to start buying their clothes. This is the biggest disaster, every time. (Think supply chain issues, shipping, time to try on, needing to buy a different size, time to schedule any alterations, etc.)

I work with my smart clients MONTHS before the event. SO DON'T WAIT.

(And if you have waited till the last minute, expect to pay much more because.....rush job is expensive in any language.)

Creating a gorgeous and professional image is an A R T F O R M.

I'm going to get you the right colors that make your skin glow. (Then you'll get a higher ROI in your photos and videos and you won't have to wear as much makeup.) Again, it takes TIME to find those perfect colors for you in the items you want. Or time to design them with a seamstress, which I'm thrilled to do, but WE NEED TIME.

If you give me time to design your image and brand to be the art that it should be....you'll STAND OUT!

Once we get the right wardrobe, IT HAS TO BE PROPERLY ALTERed, Accessorized, and STEAMED.

2. SHOWING UP WITH WRINKLED CLOTHING IS NOT OKAY. EVERRRRRR. Steam it, take it to a laundry place, have your friend do it, I DON'T CARE. GET IT DONE and wrap it up in a plastic bag for the event!

3. Not buying the right underclothing for your outfit. Panty-Lines, Bra-Lines, Back Flab, Underwear Lines (men, you too!) THIS IS WHAT SHOWS UP ON STAGE. Any roll of flesh, bump, or wrinkle, will be glaringly highlighted. BRIGHT SUNSHINE AND STAGE LIGHTING ARE SHOCKINGLY UNFLATTERING as is most indoor lighting.

"It's not fair," you say. Lighting isn't fair, Honey, right along with aging, death, taxes and online dating apps. We just have to make sure you're ready for those impromptu interviews on camera....

You won't be able to control the lighting, so you have to control YOU.

"Why should I CARE about bumps and lighting?" you say.

BECAUSE IT IS DISTRACTING from you, what you're saying, and your expert status!

We all have the attention span of a monkey anyway, so don't let me fixate on anything but your message.
