Top 3 Reasons Why Child Care Benefits You

Compared to previous decades, more parents have now turned to childcare for help in raising and looking after their children.

This is mainly due to either the increase in the population of both fathers and mothers working at the same time or parents who have witnessed how positively child care has impacted their child’s formative years.

Here are three main reasons how putting your children in childcare helps your child:

Academically and Socially Adaptive

There is a higher probability that your child can become more academically superior because of his exposure to child care.

This is because of the regular activities and schedule that the childcare facility employs.

It has been proven through different studies that children who are brought to childcare at an early age are more inclined to develop earlier, improve their reflex and response, and become more sociable to both carers and peers.

So parents need not worry about putting their children “too early” in childcare. In fact, the US National Institute of Health previously declared that children in daycare facilities scored higher in academic and cognitive exams in their teenage years.

The daily regular schedule followed by childcare facilities are designed to enhance their intellectual growth and development. Fun tasks like painting, drawing, playing, singing and dancing are all helpful for the kids.

This is such a welcome change from how some parents try to “keep their children occupied”. And this is mostly through shoving an iPad or computer in their child’s face and letting them watch a Disney movie or a cartoon on YouTube.

The structured time helps parents as well. Since their kids have had such a meaningful and productively satisfying day, they won’t be moody or cranky when they get home.

Also, most childcare centers have themed days where they dress up in costumes or celebrate a particular holiday through fun programs. This helps kids to be exposed to different scenarios and situations at an early age, which improves their acuity to observe.

More Resistant to Health

Contrary to what most parents think, bringing their kids to childcare actually helps their kids be more resistant to common sicknesses like a cough, colds, and fever.

Kids who are sent to daycare at an early age are less likely to be sickly when they enroll in “big school.”

Yes, it’s true that babies may become more sickly once they go to the daycare facility. But better now than when they are actually enrolled in kindergarten or elementary school when being absent from class can be more costly to their education.

At least now, they are still younger and will definitely receive all the proper medical care.

We have this misconception that kids are more formidable when they are older. Well, this isn’t always necessarily the case.

As CNN once reported:

Babies who attend large-group child-care centers before they are 2 ? years of age do get more respiratory and ear infections than those cared for at home, but they are less likely to come down with these ailments once they start elementary school, according to the study.

It is only expected that kids will become sicker as they interact with more adults or other individuals. So better for them to be sick at a younger age so that their bodies can develop the proper antibodies to combat these infections.

When children are enrolled in daycare at a young age, it can be expected that their ability to fight off infections will be enhanced.

Better Prepared to Enter School

It can be very difficult to transition your child from your home to a school environment. Evidently, any preparation that can help to ease the transition should be carefully considered and maximized.

It can be said that parents who put their kids in childcare became more hands-on in their school life as their kids got older.

A study showed how children make a smoother transition to school when families and schools are strongly connected.

There is also enough evidence that how youngsters who attend childcare facilities develop many of the important and useful skills necessary for classroom learning at school.

These skills involve a variety of skills, including learning to cope with being away from their parents and moving and thinking independently. It also enhances cognitive skills such as problem-solving.

After going to daycare kids found it easier to adjust to formal schooling. By sending your child to a facility, their behavioral problems are significantly diminished because they receive positive correction from their carers.

As a result, your child could easily blend to his or her new learning environment with little to no concern.

If you are still on the fence in enrolling your children to a childcare facility, consider these three factors that will definitely benefit not just your child but your whole family.
