Top 3 Hidden Gems for SITE Visitors to San Antonio (Near Your Hotel)

Okay, you're at the annual S.I.T.E. and getting new training ideas by the boatload. While the training is awesome, you're getting a little antsy and want to see some of amazing San Antonio.  While we can all agree to see the Alamo and the River Walk, what else is interesting to see?

  1. St. Joseph Catholic Church  - it's gorgeous and calming.  It's a cozy church where both Spanish and German histories collide.
  2. La Villita Historic Arts Village - it's a short hike down the River Walk, but well worth it. Be sure to stop into the  Copper Gallery - featuring hand-hammered art, sinks, vases and more. The teeny Little Church of La Villita is so cute you'll want to take it home with you.
  3. The Battle for Texas Experience - You'll get to experience the real story of the Alamo and see over 250 Alamo-related artifacts.  You may can find discounted tickets online.

So, while you are not soaking up the training, soak in some San Antonio culture.

Thank you, Gregg. I ran by the church during our morning "Fun Run", but not able to go inside. I did get a chance to visit La Villita. We actually had our Yoga in the courtyard one morning...it was great. Thank you for sharing.
