TikTok keeps rolling out updates and other novelties, YouTube is increasingly flirting with social commerce, and there's a comeback of BeReal. It's time for your weekly news update!

  • TikTok is launching a new app in Europe called "TikTok Lite," which financially rewards users with money and coupons: earning points by performing various actions, then converting them into cash or Amazon coupons. The goal is to boost user engagement, so it's not a concept that will be applied for long (and experience has shown that paying users this way is clearly not a long-term strategy because when the rewards stop, so does the user base).
  • TikTok is also launching a new photo-sharing app to directly compete with Instagram, called "TikTok Notes."
  • There's now the possibility to create multi-level subscriptions.
  • The app is also developing tools to help brands use virtual influencers in their advertisements.

  • Meta has announced new features for Messenger, including high-definition image sharing, album sharing with friends, and sending files up to 100 MB.

?? Shopping Collections: allowing creators to build their own virtual shops.

?? Affiliate Hub: listing shopping partners, commission rates, promotional codes, and enabling creators to request samples from brands.

?? Tagging products across multiple videos simultaneously.

?? Integration of Fourthwall as an embedded e-commerce platform.

  • X is going to remove the option to hide the "blue checkmarks" for Premium users... Some users were ashamed to display it, so an option allowed them to hide it, but in a new and incomprehensible move, Elon decided otherwise ??
  • Elon Musk declares that an update to X's algorithm is coming soon "with more bangers and less clickbait," let's pray that this is the case ??

  • Instagram has added new features for Stories, Reels, and Notes, including a "Cut" function to create stickers, Notes invitations, and will soon display Notes on profiles.
  • Instagram has launched a new Broadcast Channel called "IG University" to share new features, tips, and trends for creators: join here!

  • New: "Best Friend Poses" now allow Snapchat+ subscribers to share Bitmoji poses of their best friends.
  • The controversial "Solar System" feature on Snapchat will now be disabled by default following reports suggesting it had a negative impact on young users.

  • Discord now allows users to create polls with up to 10 different responses and set a duration for them.

  • BeReal is launching a new feature called 'RealEvents' coinciding with Coachella.

?? Top 20 Best AI Tools for Content Creators 2024

??? Creator's Secret Ep 4/5

This week, I'll give you the list of the best AI tools for content creators.

?? Hey there! Had a good weekend?

Well, there are a lot of AI tools and services out there.

Maybe even too many.

It seems like every day there are new tools popping up.

Some are definitely worth it, while others, not so much.

When it comes to content creation, the choices are vast.

That's good news for us—more options, the better ??

But how do we navigate through all of this?

And which ones are worth it?

You know my goal by now: to save you time.

So, for the fourth of our series dedicated to AI for content creators, I've decided to compile a neat list of the best tools available.

Because life isn't just about ChatGPT ??

Alright, it's our weekly ritual: grab your coffee and let's dive in!

?? Chatbot Assistants

No need to introduce them, everyone knows at least what ChatGPT is. But the list has expanded since then, and I invite you to try out others.

These 'virtual assistants' use artificial intelligence to interact with you in real time.

You really have to see these chatbots as assistants and treat them as such.

What does that mean? It means not expecting them to do the work for you, but rather using them to provide suggestions you might not have thought of.

Interact with them as if you were talking to a real person, and don't hesitate to ask them to ask you questions in return (once you've given them context).

For me, these are clearly the most effective tools to date, provided you know how to prompt them well. I'll probably do a special edition on this soon, going more in-depth on how to prompt a chatbot properly.

  • ChatGPT: No need to introduce it, available in both free and premium versions (the premium one is definitely worth it).
  • Gemini: Google's chatbot version.
  • Claude: Particularly good for generating code. If you're more into the technical side of creation, go for it; Claude performs very well in that regard.
  • Mistral: The latest entry (made in France ??) to compete with ChatGPT. Keep an eye on it.
  • Copilot: Microsoft's chatbot. The advantage is that you'll have access to ChatGPT features that are normally paid for, as Microsoft is the largest investor in OpenAI.

??? Image Creation

"Text-to-image" is where AI allow you to create images from textual descriptions. No need to introduce the concept further; if you've been following me for a while, you know I talk about it often. These are definitely game changers for content creators.

  • Midjourney: Lots of potential, probably one of the most powerful models in terms of realistic rendering. The only downside is that you have to go through Discord to generate the images, which is far from the most convenient. If that doesn't stop you, go for it and have fun. Otherwise, there are rumors that a dedicated version outside of Discord is in development, so stay tuned because Midjourney is ultra-powerful!
  • DALL-E: OpenAI's version, included directly in the paid version of ChatGPT. With the latest update I mentioned last week, we now have an extremely powerful tool that allows you to edit the images you generate—a game changer to discover in last week's newsletter.
  • Leonardo.ai: Let's be clear, I don't use it much due to lack of time, and I'm already fully satisfied with DALL-E, but all the users around me speak highly of it, so it's worth a try.
  • Playground.ai: An actor to follow and test regularly. It positions itself as "Designed by creators, for creators", so we're clearly in the spirit of our universe ??

?? Photo Editors

From background removal to image quality improvement, photo retouching, or background generation, these tools are excellent for saving you time if you don't have the skills for software like Photoshop.

?? Turn Long Videos into Short Format

Automatically transform your long videos into short ones to publish on TikTok or as Reels or Shorts.

  • OpusClip
  • Klap
  • YouTube: Yes, YouTube has also integrated this type of tool. To access it, from a video you've already published, click on "Create," select "Edit in Shorts," and choose a 60-second sequence. So yes, it's not AI-assisted (that will likely come soon), but since we're all about saving time, you don't have to use a third-party service if you're already a creator on YouTube.

?? Video Editor

Veed.io is a video editor powered by artificial intelligence that allows for considerable time savings compared to using more complex tools like Premiere Pro: automatic subtitle generation, background removal, noise or silence removal automatically, visual filters, etc.

??? Audio Voice Generator

Tools that offer a vast library of high-quality pre-recorded voices, with different accents and demographic groups.

?? Multi Tools

Runway allows you to create various types of content: text-to-image, image-to-video, image-to-image, etc. There are many tools or platforms, but this one is clearly a banger.

?? Graphic Design Tools

Tools for creating visuals and other graphic elements, to be used for YouTube thumbnails, Instagram posts, business cards, flyers, and other social media posts.

  • Canva: Everyone probably knows it, but just in case.
  • Picsart: A serious competitor to Canva; I use it regularly.

?? Music Creation

Suno allows you to generate original music with just a few words; it's text-to-audio. The advantage is that it has an easy-to-use interface, rather user-friendly, and the service has powerful AI models. So if you're into music and haven't tried it yet, you know what to do.

That's it for this week, a total of 23 tools for content creation that I've tested and sorted for you based on their quality, popularity, and my own experience.

There are certainly other equally good tools to discover, so don't hesitate to share them with us in the comments to benefit everyone.

Next week will be the 5th and final episode specially dedicated to AI for content creators, so if you're not subscribed yet, now's the time!

And if you like my newsletters and find them helpful, give this post a little like; it helps increase my visibility and, most importantly, makes me happy ??

Lots of love, and see you next week!
