This paper explains the current status of biodiversity in Bangladesh, India, Nepal, and Pakistan. The author chose these South Asian countries because biodiversity has been severely threatened by direct and/or indirect actions of human beings in this world’s second most densely populated region.

2. Marcus Smith. A Real Options Approach To Evaluating Agricultural Investments Under Uncertainty: When To Get In And Out Of Sugarcane Production

This case study presents an application of the Real Options approach to evaluate a farming enterprise under sugarcane in the lower Herbert district of north Queensland, Australia. It demonstrates how this approach may be used to calculate the value of a farming enterprise using real-world data as well as the critical prices at which it is optimal for the farm operator to exercise managerial options in order to maximize the value of their investment.

3. Debesh Bhowmik. An Econometric Analysis of World GDP Share of India during 1960-2015

In this paper author attempted to analyze India’s international GDP share during 1960-2015 with the help of econometric models taking the data from the World Bank. Semilog linear trend model and exponential trend model were used to find the trend of growth. Variance ratio test was used to show random walk.

4. Sourav Kumar Das, Kishor Naskar. Nexus between Infrastructure and Tourism Development

The critical importance of the availability of quality infrastructure has been realized by all countries, including India. Within the available resources’ efforts are made to provide for such infrastructure for sustaining the increase in economic growth. This requires meticulous planning and policy formulations, which, in turn, require qualitative infrastructure statistics. A clear, comprehensive and unambiguous notion of what constitute infrastructure is yet to be developed at the national and international levels. The paper also finds that India is an expanding destination to the foreign tourist. The findings in this study lend support to the current policy of the government whereby significant marketing effort is being made at the international level to further promote the Indian tourism product. The authorities should also be given due credit for constantly upgrading the infrastructure base around the India.

6. Mina Sami Ayad, Aliaa Abd El-Aziz. The Impact of Remittances on Children’s Educational Attainment: Evidence from Egypt

The purpose of this paper is to examine the impact of remittances on the level of educational attainment of children between ages 6-21 in Egypt. Authors distinguish this impact among two categories of individuals according to their age: the school aged individuals and the university aged persons. Two important contributions can be highlighted from this study: first, to the authors’ knowledge, this is the first study that provides information on how people invest their income received from remittances in Egypt, especially after the 25th of January revolution. Second, it measures the impact of remittances on educational attainment rather than school enrollment rates, as adopted in the previous studies.

The aim of this paper is to explore the main features and characteristics of movie induced tourism, which was conducted by summarizing various literary sources. Authors search for the motivating factors of travelers, the possible reasons behind the popularity of visiting film related locations (the main appeals of such activities) and the criteria movies must meet to even be considered as such.

8. Rajesh Srivastava. Salespeople Stress and How Should They Cope With It To Avoid the Burnout

This paper develops a theoretical model that focuses on the extent to which coping may reduce boundary-spanning employee burnout. The consequences of burnout can be grouped into five categories: physical emotional, interpersonal, attitudinal, and behavioral. The employees should be taught to cope with stress in a positive manner and should be taught to take problem focused approach to coping.

This paper summarizes the arguments and counterarguments within the scientific discussion on the issue of agricultural trading system and global food crisis. The main purpose of the research is to identify the relationship between world trading system and 2007-2008 food crisis by discussing some agricultural domestic and trade policies as well as selected World Trade Organization (WTO) agricultural trade rules and provisions that have a bearing on response measures to the soaring food prices.
