This month, April 2022, is a milestone for the Top 100 Filipinos on LinkedIn for two reasons:

  1. Francis Kong , the No. 1 of the Top 100 for three consecutive years (2018-2020), and our only Hall of Famer in 2021, will join us as one of the distinguished panelists on LinkedIn Local Philippines - 4th Panel Discussion ; and
  2. We’re launching our very first search for the Philippines’ Top 30 Leaders on LinkedIn .?

Hall of Famer Francis Kong joins LinkedIn Local Philippines event as expert panelist

Francis Kong currently has 139,623 LinkedIn followers, making him the most followed Filipino on LinkedIn.

But more than the number of followers, Francis Kong is an inspiration to hundreds of thousands, if not millions of Filipinos who follow him not only on LinkedIn but also on other platforms including Facebook .

Personally, as one of his followers, I am super excited and grateful that he will be joining us at LinkedIn Local Philippines as one of our expert panelists on April 23, Saturday, at 5-6:30 p.m.

Francis will be joined by Ian Santos and Raymond Victorino – also among the most followed Filipinos on LinkedIn.?

Aside from his character, one of the things I love about Francis Kong is his humility. Despite his success as one of the most respected business speakers in the Philippines, he remains humble and always willing to share his wisdom and expertise with others.

He was already very successful when we reached out to him in 2018 when I launched the Top 47 Filipinos to Follow on LinkedIn for Inspiration and Learning , but he still took the time to respond to us and answer the questionnaire we’ve sent him.

At that time, only 47 out of 100 people we reached out to responded to? us, and one of those who sent their responses early was Francis Kong.?

That act of giving us a chance to get noticed by a successful individual like him encouraged us to continue what we’re doing.?

And so being able to talk to him a couple of times via Zoom a few months ago made me truly excited. Following him is one thing, but being able to speak to him and listen to him share stories is a totally different experience. ?and I can't wait to meet him in person - hopefully very soon.

Let’s talk about the future of leadership, sales and HR on LinkedIn Local Philippines

The future of work is here. COVID-19 has accelerated existing work trends such as remote work, virtual meetings, e-commerce and automation.

Based on McKinsey’s research , e-commerce has grown two to five times faster than prior to the pandemic.?And because of the rise of automation and AI, low-wage employees could be facing job losses unless they “shift to occupations in higher wage brackets,” which require reskilling if they want to remain employed.?

Amidst what is known as The Great Resignation, The Great Migration and The Great Attraction, employees are rethinking their careers. Organizations are figuring out the best ways to retain and attract talent. And leaders are evolving as they face challenges they have not encountered before.?

As the Philippines seeks to reopen its economy, companies are also starting to reopen. For most companies, this means requiring their employees to return to the office.?

The question now is this:

What future awaits leaders and employees in the future of work?
