I’m excited to announce that, starting today, Top 10 Sales Talent is operating under a new name—RevsUp. This rebranding reflects the evolution of the company as well as my vision for its future. Along with this change, the company has a new logo and a new website, both of which go live today at https://revsup.com/ .
Both practical and philosophical reasons drove this change.
When I decided to hang out my shingle as a one-person staffing agency in 2015, I sought a simple company name that clearly communicated the firm’s capabilities. I was focused on placing sales talent, and I very much wanted to match up elite performers with elite software companies. Top 10 Sales Talent, while not the most succinct moniker, seemed to me to capture those goals.
But by 2019 the business had grown to the point that I could no longer handle everything by myself and still provide first-class service to my clients. Today I have an amazing staff of twelve.
Removing Sales from the name was the practical reason driving the rebranding. We help companies fill any customer-oriented position, from customer success to solutions engineer, from marketing director to channel sales, from chief revenue officer to sales operations manager to business development representative. Why “RevsUp”?
The name reflects the company’s three constituents:
Each of these groups has a laser-like focus on their journey from point A to point B. Job candidates and RevsUp employees are revving up their careers (and income), whereas startups are revving up their sales teams and their, well, revenue. If you’ve worked at a startup—or founded one—you have had a role in growing company revenue from nothing to millions of dollars. The prospect of doing that is what attracts top talent to Startup Land.

Less is more. One of our key differences from other agencies is that we work with a relatively small number of companies at any one time. When I opened Top 10, I took any and all job orders that came my way. Of course! I was funding the business myself and needed some wins. Six months later I decided to concentrate on a smaller number of high-quality opportunities. And it worked—I started making far more placements and gained a reputation for selectivity. That has continued as the company has grown: Today we evaluate every potential client thoughtfully and represent only those with stellar leadership teams, an inclusive company culture, and good product-market fit. We are proud of every company and leader we represent.
Empathy. Whether you’re a leader with a big number to hit, an underappreciated job seeker looking to join a company that will value your talents and drive, or a CEO trying to secure Series B funding, Startup Land often is not the most comfortable environment in which to operate. Every RevsUp employee has worked for emerging firms and brings that perspective to the job; that means the RevsUp staff will instinctively spot applicants likely to succeed at a startup—and those who won’t. And we always treat everyone with understanding and dignity.
Enterprise-quality service levels. I’ve said consistently that staffing is not a relationship business—it is a service business. One reason I started this firm is that my own experience with contingent recruiters was uneven. Time is our constituents’ most valuable resource, and my colleagues might describe our respect for time as bordering on maniacal. If a client intake meeting requires 20 minutes, the call ends after 20 minutes. If one of our recruiters has booked you for a 2:30 screening call, that recruiter will call you at 2:30. From our unrivaled job descriptions to our video-based interview preparation tool to our people-conscious interview scheduling, we are committed to delighting you with our service.
Sales acumen. RevsUp account managers and recruiters bring years of experience selling to the Fortune 1000. We at RevsUp are former President’s Club winners with formal training in the most effective methodologies, including Challenger Sale, SPIN, and MEDDIC.
