Discover how to make AI text undetectable with our in-depth guide containing 10 proven methods. See the tips to make AI text undetectable for students, bloggers, marketers, and more.?
AI writers from ChatGPT to Gemini have totally changed the way we think about content. Before, everything had to be written manually, by human writers, word by word and sentence by sentence. Now, you can ask an AI to do it all and get thousands of words in seconds.
It’s amazing technology, but there is a caveat: there are also AI detectors that can detect whether a text is made by AI. Fortunately, there are ways you can bypass detection by “humanizing” your AI text. And this guide will show you how to make AI text undetectable in 10 easy ways.
Humanize AI Text: 10 Methods Put to the Test
There are lots of ways to make AI text undetectable, and some require almost no effort, like using an undetectable AI writer. But some methods are more effective than others.
To find out which ones work best, we’ve decided to put all 10 of the featured methods listed below to the test. We’re going to use real ChatGPT AI text samples for each one and run our work through multiple AI detectors to see how each method works.?
Specifically, we’ll be using the following two ChatGPT samples (on two different topics) for this test.
We’ll kick things off by scanning the two original texts using two leading AI content detectors: GPTZero and Originality.ai. The table below shows the scores, which we’ll use as a “baseline” for the tests to come.
TL;DR - The Full Results of All 10 Tests
If you just want to skip the detailed process and get right to the conclusion, here it is. The table below shows how well each of our 10 methods fared, listing the scores from GPTZero and Originality.AI for both topics, so you can see exactly how effective each method was at bypassing detection and creating undetectable AI content.
These findings reveal that some methods are much more effective overall at bypassing detection, and some methods tend to be much better at fooling one detector over the other. Some, for example, led to very low AI scores on Originality, but high readings on GPTZero, or vice versa. The best methods, though, were able to bypass both detectors and create almost perfect scores with both topics.
Next, let’s dig into the details of our 10 methods so you can see exactly how they work and how you can try them yourself.
Using an AI Humanizer
The No. 1 method on our list is also the easiest and most efficient: use an AI humanizer, or undetectable AI writer like BypassGPT. As the names suggest, AI humanizers and undetectable AI writers are tools designed to create AI content that is capable of bypassing detection.
There are many AI humanizers out there, but BypassGPT ranks as one of the best, outperforming countless alternatives. It boasts industry-leading humanization technology, helping it produce the most accurate, engaging, and human-level output text.
With this AI detection remover, you can easily craft AI content on any topic in a matter of seconds, with minimal effort and no worries about failing AI detection tests. Even leading detectors like Originality.ai and GPTZero can be bypassed by this humanizer.
Let’s put it to the test and prove that point.
First, we used BypassGPT to humanize the AI-made text seen above.
Topic 1:?
Topic 2:?
Next, we ran the outputs of BypassGPT through GPTZero and Originality:
The results were incredible, to say the least. BypassGPT successfully transformed the AI-written text so well that GPTZero and Originality both gave perfect 100% human scores for almost every sample (except for one of them which scored just 1% AI on Originality, which is still almost perfect). This shows how amazing BypassGPT is for bypassing AI detection.
Use a Paraphraser, Like Quillbot
Undetectable AI writers aren’t the only tech tools you can use to humanize AI content. There are also rewriting and paraphrasing tools out there that do regular paraphrasing. It swaps certain words and shortening or lengthening sentences to make the text feel different and, perhaps, less like AI.
Quillbot is a popular example of this type of tool, and some users have had great success bypassing AI detectors with Quillbot. So, we decided to test it out ourselves. Here’s how it performed on our AI-generated text. And here are its outputs:
Let’s next see how well these texts did in AI detection tes
s:
As you can see, the paraphrase method provides mixed results. The best result it got was a 53% AI rating from GPTZero for the first topic, but Originality felt that the text was still entirely AI. Originality also wasn’t fooled by Quillbot’s version of topic 2, and even GPTZero thought that over 80% of the text was AI. Therefore, we can conclude that this method isn’t the best for bypassing AI detection.
Manual Rewriting
We’ve seen that AI rewriters aren’t exactly the best for making AI content undetectable. But what about human rewriting? If you rewrite the text manually, on your own, you may be able to convert AI to human content that way.
However, this will depend on your own writing skills and understanding of how AI and AI detectors work. You have to make smart, sensible adjustments to the text so that it feels less like AI and more like a real human wrote it.
To do that, you have to identify the key meanings and ideas of sentences and paragraphs. Then, make changes to the word choices and sentence structures while preserving the original meanings.
The downside with this method is that it demands a huge amount of time and effort. Plus, some AI detectors may still flag your work as AI (this is called a “false positive”)
Let’s see how well this method works by manually rewriting both of our AI texts.
Next, let’s see how the rewrites fared in AI scans.
This method produced very encouraging results. GPTZero gave us a perfect 100% human score for the first topic and only 12% AI for the second. Originality wasn’t quite as convinced by topic 2, but still gave a mostly human rating for the first topic.
This method looks promising. But considering the efforts required for rewriting, and the fact that you may still get detected
Use a Mix of AI and Human Writing
Another potentially effective way to make AI text undetectable is to avoid relying entirely on AI bots to write all of your content. Instead, mix it up using some AI sections paired with human-written paragraphs, so the final result feels more unpredictable and less robotic than pure AI text.
You could, for example, ask AI to write an article or blog post. Then, go through it and delete or rewrite certain sections in your own words, like the intro or the conclusion, so the final piece will be a mix.
Here’s an example of this method in action, with both of our original AI texts adjusted to include some human content. For topic 1, we left the first two paragraphs as AI and then wrote the rest ourselves.
In the second topic, we alternated between human and AI sentences.
Here’s how these two texts performed against the AI scans:
Unfortunately, this method has only limited success. The first topic was deemed to be almost 100% AI by both tools. The second one did a little better, especially with GPTZero, but still failed to truly pass AI detection.

Mix Up the Word Choices
A lot of AI writers tend to use the same kinds of words. It’s almost like they have a limited, defined dictionary to call from, and gravitate to the same adjectives, nouns, and adverbs over and over again.
AI detectors have been trained to look for those words and flag content as AI if they spot them. So, one way to make ChatGPT undetectable is to mix up your word choices and remove some of the most common AI terms. Instead of “big” for example, you could use “giant” or “huge”.
Let’s see how this works in action. We took our two texts and exchanged some of the simple, common words for quirkier alternatives.
The table below once again shows AI scan results for this method.
Overall, this method just didn’t work. For both topics, both of the detectors still spotted that the content was AI, so this trick would need to be used more carefully or in a different way to yield any kind of positive result.
Mix Up Structure
Another possible way to get around AI detectors is to paraphrase your content manually and mix up the structure of your work. Again, this is because AI tools all tend to write in a similar way, with similar sentence styles and lengths that AI detectors are looking for.
You can “surprise” the AI detectors by alternating between short and long sentences, for example, or introducing lists, bullets, and headers, which helps to make your text feel more human and unpredictable.
With this in mind, we tried paraphrasing and restructuring our original topics. We gave topic 1 a completely new layout, using bullet points, and broke up the second topic with headers.
Here's how the two performed in AI scans:
The results are quite varied. The best outcome was the GPTZero scan of topic 2, which returned as just 7% AI. That's an excellent result. Unfortunately, the other three results were not nearly as impressive, still indicating AI readings.
Use More Specific Prompts
Another potential way to make AI text undetectable is to shake up the kinds of prompts you use to generate AI text.?
A lot of people make the mistake of just saying “Write 500 words about…” when they use an AI writer like ChatGPT. But, if you use alternative, detailed, specific prompts like “Write X from Y perspective in the style of Z” or “Vary your sentence lengths and structures, and include emotive language to produce a human-like output,” you can get very different results.
We used some of these style prompts to produce two new texts from ChatGPT.
Next, let’s see how well these texts coped with AI detection scans:
Interestingly, even though these texts were made entirely by ChatGPT, they didn’t get 100% human readings. However, the scores were still very high, higher than 95% AI for three of the four. The best result was 82% AI from GPTZero for topic 2.?
Ask ChatGPT to Edit for You
ChatGPT is also capable of editing the content it creates, making changes here and there, where requested, to alter the flow and form of its output.
So, one way you might be able to create undetectable AI writing is by asking ChatGPT to fine-tune its own output. For example, you can ask ChatGPT to rewrite its text with more perplexity and burstiness – grammatical elements associated with human writing.
That’s what we tried on our two original pieces of text. Here’s what ChatGPT gave us:
As you can see, both texts were quite a lot longer when ChatGPT was done with them, but did that translate to more human results? Let’s find out:
Unfortunately, the results were quite disappointing. Originality showed no signs of being fooled, stating that the two texts were still 100% AI. GPTZero was slightly fooled, especially with topic 2, which it found to be just 75% AI. Maybe this method could work with another prompt, but it’s not a foolproof method for humanizing AI text.
Intentional Mistakes
One thing about AI is that it doesn’t tend to make mistakes. People make mistakes. Writers might hit the wrong key on their keyboard as they type for example, or misspell a word. But AI doesn’t do that. And AI detectors have therefore been trained to spot content that is completely error-free.
Thus, one way you might bypass AI detection is by actually putting intentional errors and inconsistencies in your work, like the odd typo here and there. Please note that this can make your text look less professional and make it unappealing to your audience.
Still, while we don’t recommend this method, it’s worth testing out to see how well it works.
Here’s how the two AI checkers felt about these samples.
This method proved partially effective, getting an 8% AI score from Originality with the first sample. However, the other texts still get very high AI scores, so this isn’t the best method.
Use Similar Letters
Discussions online mentioned a rather novel way to make AI text undetectable: using different symbols (like Cyrllic alphabet letters) instead of regular letters in order to basically fool the AI detectors.
While this method has some potential, we don’t recommend it, especially for formal work, like essays or assignments. Why? Well, using alternate symbols in your work can be spotted by plagiarism detectors and even someone reading the text with the naked eye may notice that some of the symbols don’t exactly look quite right.
Here’s an example of how this works:
Finally, here’s how the two texts performed in scans.
Very mixed results here. Clearly, GPTZero has been trained to spot when users try this “symbol technique” and still correctly spotted the text was mostly AI. However, Originality was fooled as it obviously hasn’t been updated to understand and detect this method just yet.
Why Would You Want to Make AI Text Undetectable?
Here are just a few examples of reasons to make AI text undetectable.
Improve SEO Performance
Google doesn’t ban you from using AI content, nor does it block or flag AI-written text. However, it has updated its algorithms to focus on content that provides value to readers, and it tends to favor original, engaging content over text that appears robotic or repetitive. Consequently, AI-generated text often performs poorly in SEO, while humanized text typically ranks much higher.
Boost Reader Engagement
Another downside to publishing and posting AI content is that it can be a bit boring for people to read, due to the repetition and robotic nature of many AI writers. By making the text more human and original, you can also improve its readability, making it more engaging and enjoyable for your audience.
Create Fresh Content
There are lots of people and businesses out there using AI to write similar posts and articles. That means that lots of content on the internet is starting to look really similar. By humanizing your text using some of the above methods, you can help your posts stand out from the crowd and feel fresh and original compared to all the rest.
The Final Words
AI is now getting better as time goes by, and new tools will surely emerge to make it even easier for people to create various kinds of content in an instant, all with the aid of AI.
However, as AI improves, AI detection is sure to improve right along with it. That’s why it’s going to become increasingly important to find ways to humanize your AI content and get past AI detection. And that’s what this guide has been about – finding and testing ways for you to make AI text undetectable and bypass AI detection.
Overall, the easiest way to make undetectable AI content is by using an AI humanizer, like BypassGPT. It’s fast, easy, and convenient. Alternative methods are available, like manual rewriting or mixing up your prompts, but none of them provide the same kind of consistent results as BypassGPT.
