I just got back from an 8-day, bucket list safari in South Africa. Our guide explained that lions spend up to 21 hours a day resting and sleeping- just like the one in the picture above that we saw in Kruger National Park. It sounds like the financial markets this week: asleep most of the time, but when it wakes up, it looks for a kill.
