Top 10 Influencer Marketing Tips & Tricks

Digital marketers want a piece of the pie that is influencer marketing. But how to find the right bloggers and integrate them in SEO solid content and content distribution tricks while managing the relationships with these influencers in the most optimal and time-friendly way?

1- Use Software Tools and Chrome extensions 

I cannot emphasize this enough, influencer marketing in the data-science age is all about the social CRM, syncing and context.

Maybe the best way to do this is Twitter advanced search. Search your keywords on Medium. For sure search on LinkedIn by Posts as well.

I like approaching influencers on Linkedin or Twitter (if more informal). Though approaching them on Instagram, Quora works too. They may prefer it gets to Email eventually, but it's not necessary, make it personal, always have a one to one discussion.

Some bloggers like live-streaming, other influencers are videographers on YouTube, while others prefer short-form or long-form content. Maybe they are master story-tellers or are adept researchers. Ask them to do something they are likely to ENJOY doing!

You may one more than another and find it more intuitive, so A/B test you software tools, read reviews and do your research, here are often cited ones

7- Practice your Social Selling on Influencers

  • Approach on Social Media
  • Mirror
  • Get foot in the door
  • Do something free for them
  • Be a human with them (communicate, share, build rapport) 
  • Develop trust, amplify their ORB (online reputation brand) 
  • Like any H2H workflow, think about trust, reciprocity and mutually beneficial commitment. 

I personally find Millennials prefer a more personal friendly relation style, and that's why social selling (approach via social media tends to work well with folk if they are below 33 or so as of 2016).
