Al Taneem (Masjid-e-Ayesha)
Masjid e Taneem is mosque in the Al-Hil area about 5 miles away from the holy Kaaba, in Taneem, which is near Mecca and acts as miqat for people living in Mecca. This mosque is also known as Masjid-e-Ayesha since Prophet Mohammed's wife Ayesha had put her Ihram from this place once. If someone is living in mecca and wants to perform umrah then he should go to this place, enter into the state of Ihram and then return to Mecca so that the Condition of traveling for the pilgrims is also fulfilled. The prophet has said: "Part of the worship of hajj and Umrah is to travel in the way of Allah and to go out of the city. This is quite a big mosque with superb facilities for baths, ablution, and changing, available for pilgrims and those who come to offer regular prayers.
Mount Arafat
Mount Arafat or Mount Arafah is a granite hill east of Mecca. It also known as the Mount of Mercy (Jabal ar-Rahmah). According to Islamic tradition, the hill is the place where the Islamic prophet Muhammad stood and delivered the Farewell sermon to the Muslims who had accompanied him for the Hajj towards the end of his life. It reaches about 70m in height. The pilgrims spend the whole day on 'Arafah supplicating to Allah to forgive their sins and praying for personal strength in the future. They also collect stones for the stoning of satan.
Meena (Mina)
Meena(Mina) is a neighborhood of Mecca in Makkah Province, in western Saudi Arabia. It is situated 5 kilometers to the Mecca's city center to the Hill of Arafat. It covers an area of approximately 20 km.
Mina is best known for the role it plays during the annual hajj pilgrimage. More than 100.000 air-conditioned tents provide temporary accommodation to visiting pilgrims. The Teflon-coated tents are constructed to withstand temperatures of up to 700 degrees celsius. in the valley of Mina is the Jamarat bridge, the location of the ritual of the stoning of the Devil, performed between sunrise and sunset on the last day of the Hajj.
Mina is the place where pilgrims throw stones, commemorating the occasion that the Prophet Ibrahim(Abraham) stoned theDeveil that came between him and the command Allah had set him. Many pilgrims at Hajj walk around the Ka'bah seven times, then visit the well of ZamZam. Usually, they spend their first night in the Valley of Mina. This ritual occurs from the eighth to the twelfth day of the Hajj. At Mina, men and women are not allowed to sleep together.
Muzdalifah
Muzdalifa (Arabic words) is an open, level area near Mecca in Saudi Arabia associated with the Hajj. It lies just southeast of Mina on the route between Mina and Arafat. It is where the Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) and his son isma'il (ismael) are recorded as throwing stones at satan.
Masjid-e-Masha'r Al Haram
Al-Masjid Al-Haram is in the city of Mecca, Saudi Arabia. it is the largest mosque in the world and surrounds on of Islam's holiest places, the Kaaba. Muslims face in the direction of the Kaaba while performing Salat. On of the Five Pillar of Islam Requires every Muslim to perform the Hajj Pilgrimage at least once in his or her lifetime if able to do so, including circumambulation of the Kaaba.
The current structure covers an area 356,800 square meters (88.2 acres) including the outdoor and indoor praying spaces and can accommodate up to two million worshipers during the Hajj period, one of the largest annual gatherings of people in the world. Unlike many other mosques which are segregated, men and women can worship at Al-Masjid.
Birthplace Of Muhammad
The house in where Allah's apostle was born is located close to the Al-Haram Mosque. It is at a walking distance of 5 to 6 minutes away from the mosque.
Jannat UI Mua'lla
It is the cemetery of the people of Mecca. It is located on the way to Mina. The grave of Um-Al-Momeneen Bibi Khadija (the first wife of holy Prophet) and that of, Abdullah Bin Zubair, and other members of the holy Prophet's family, may Allah be pleased with them all, are in this cemetery. Jannat UI Mua'lla is situated near the Al Haram Mosque.
Thour Mountain
The mountain is one of the most significant historic sites in Mecca. It contains thour cave where Allah's apostle and his companion, Al Sideeq, spent three days before fleeing persecution in Mecca for Medina. The mountain is at the southern end of mecca and rises about 760 meters above sea level.
Al Nour Mountain
It is located at the eastern edge of Mecca, northeast of thour Mountain. At Al-Nour, or "The Light," lies the Hira'a cave, where Allah's apostle reflected and prayed before he becomes a messenger of Allah. The Hira'a cave is also the site where Muhammad received his first revelations from Allah through the angel Gabriel.
Al Jaarabah Mosque
It is located just north of the city is the site where Allah's apostle clothed himself in pilgrim's garb before traveling into Mecca to perform Hajj. Two drinking water wells, one called the Prophet's well, are at the site and are about 10 meters apart. Numerous date trees are at the site and the nearby mountain overlooking Al Jaaranah Mosque is the site where the Prophet's companion, Bilal bin Rabah, called for prayer.
