The top 10 books every marketer should read
I often get asked about the best books on a specific topic - and marketing seems to be the most frequent. So I've put together a list. Every good marketer will probably have read anything they can get their hands on, written by Seth Godin, Gary Vaynerchuk and Chris Anderson. If you haven't, you should.
This list is a little different. It addresses every aspect of a marketers' life, be it the crazy juggling act most marketers have to perform everyday or the ability to keep one eye firmly on the future. Undoubtedly, this could be a list of 100 books, but who has time for that? If you read these 10, you'll be in great shape.
To get the list, simply click on this link and you'll be taken to a free download page.
If there are any other areas you'd like me to address with other book recommendations, please let me know in the comments below. I will do my best to address all of them (depending on demand, it may take a little time!).
Sneak peek at two of the books on the list:
The Leading Brain
The authors of this book were among the first to apply neuroscience to leadership thinking. They take many popular theories and beliefs around peak performance and get rid of the hyperbole. They help you understand why certain advice exists, and to decide whether it is right or relevant for you.
Curation
Bhaskar outlines the problem of information overload through the lens of a much over-used word: curation. He identifies the issues around ‘curation’ as a trend, but delves deeper into its relevance and meaning. Using lots of stories he moves the discussion about curation beyond the marketing sphere, touching on sectors such as retail, manufacturing, finance and government. (I know, the cover messes with your eyes!)
