Top 10 Best-Selling Retail Brand Products Ever

We use hundreds of brands every day.

Starting from our coffee to our accessories – retail brands cover us head to toe.

Despite so much exposure, we don’t know much about them. Worse – we never tried.

If that sounds like you - buckle up, and grab some coffee. Because now – we’ll go on a spree to socialize with them (responsible citizens, you see).

Let’s get started:

1. Evergreen iPhone

The Apple Iphone

They don’t need a grand introduction. iPhones made it to the multinational company best-seller for good reasons.

Worldwide, Apple has sold over 700 million iPhones. Demand and loyalty are sky-high.

But what appeals to Apple customers so much?

The continuous improvement of customer service, quality, and innovation.

The hard work and solid service earned them this exclusive reputation.

Consumer love and loyalty – which went on to drive Apple to the peak of success.

Dominated. Dominating. Will keep dominating.

2. PlayStation

Sony Playstation Controller

PlayStation has been around since 1995. From the start, it became a must-have for kids as well as many adults (no judging – big guys need to game too).

The 32-bit processor was the strongest console back then. It offered players everything they wanted and needed.

Sony has sold over 100 million PlayStations.

Are eyes wide open? Mine too.

The PlayStation has been ever-evolving. This has helped it stand the test of time.

It started by replacing the ‘80s arcade gaming with the powerful 3D graphic gaming. And the fun box has solid materials too to support the heavy 3D graphics.

Whether it was the old-school PlayStation, or the modern PlayStation 4 - the quality was never compromised. Thus, the massive sales and hype.

3. The Ultimate Fizz Coca Cola

The fizzy fun has been around us since 1886. Bet even our grandfathers loved it.

This drink was made to remove morphine addiction. Ironically - it became an addiction itself.

Every day, around 1.8 billion units are chugged worldwide. No surprise, though. Even doctor Lisa can’t defy Coca-cola.

The love for this caramel-y carbonated drink has reached 200 countries. Billions of people from such countries are regular drinkers.

With such a big audience, Coca-cola easily tops this list of retail best-sellers.

As you can guess, people love to: “Taste the Feeling.”

4. Beloved Nescafé

You always need a good cup of coffee. There’s no way around it.

Worry not. Nescafé is your saviour. Thanks to their instant coffees, you can have your coffee anytime, anywhere.

Convenient? Check. Caring? Yes.

But it didn’t end there. With the ever-growing popularity and demand, they introduced a line of the instant-espresso machine.

Every year, over 94 billion cups of Nescafé coffee are taken across 60 countries.

5. Lipitor

This is the best-selling legal drug of all time. It was also the most competitive of its time.

The reason?

It saves your heart! (such a blessing).

High cholesterol is deadly for our hearts. Lipitor helps reduce the risk of heart disease as it’s classified as a statin.

Lipitor made a total of $141 billion within 15 years.

However, things changed after 2011. Pfizer - Lipitor’s parent company - had to suffer a major loss because its U.S. patent expired in 2011.

6. Red Bull

Red Bull - the best-selling energy drink in the world.

Over time, it has changed a lot. The first version was inspired by an energy drink in Thailand.

Later, Chaleo Yoovidhya and his partner Dietrich Mateschitz reformulated the taste to sell it globally.

The plan clicked.

The energy drink promoting extreme sports became an international sensation almost overnight.

Every year - Red Bull sells over 5.5 million cans across 170 countries.

7. Expensive Water - Evian

Ever thought water could be a top-seller?

This water comes from évian-Les-Bains. An area around Lake Geneva.

The French sourced this for their “miraculous” properties. And the world decided to trust them.

With this healthy, high-end bottled water, they transformed the entire bottled water industry.

Surprisingly, it’s sold in 140 countries.

More surprisingly: they produce 72,000 bottles in an HOUR! And they’re planning to hit 2 billion bottles per year by 2021.

8. Air Jordans

Nike. The name of a lifestyle.

Surprisingly, first, these shoes were outlawed. But the creator - Michael Jordan – continued to wear them, and even was fined 5 grand for the privilege.

But it was worth it. He saw the bigger picture and rocked the shoes through prohibitions.

Today - the shoes scoop about $1-$2 billion a year.

What’s more - Air Jordan today is connected with the NBA, and even got sponsorships of NFLers, Major-Leaguers, and Hollywood stars.

9. Classic Toyota Corolla

Classics are always the best. Toyota Corolla is one of them.

First introduced in 1966 in Japan, Toyota today has sold about 44.1 million Corollas.

It’s the go-to for something reliable and affordable. And it has improved the quality and class with every generation.

The affordability, mileage, and service became their selling point.

No wonder you see them on every stroll down to your favorite coffee shop.

10. Rubik’s Cube

The brain twister Rubik’s Cube tops the best-selling list of toys.

Ever since the launch in 1980 - 350 million Rubik’s Cube has been sold.

Fun fact: originally, it wasn’t made as a toy.

Erno Rubik - a Hungarian architecture professor - made it to teach 3D geometry.

Eventually, it took over the toy market. Things play out weirdly, don’t they?

Last Words

We use so many best-selling products every day. Yet we’re not aware of it.

Feels good to enrich your brain with such knowledge, right?

Stick around. I’ll drop more of such to help cultivate your brain.
