Tools to Take Back Your Personal Power. #yesyoucan

Glorious ??FALL?? is here! I adore the change of season for 3 reasons: kids go back to school (yay!), my Birthday is on Sept 20th (woot!) and there’s something empowering about sweaters, jeans, fashion boots and a fresh to-do list. Whose with me?? :)
I have noticed a pattern of mine though. At the end of summer I begin to fantasize about ALLLLL the extra time I will have when the kids go back to school. I feverishly strategize about how I will spend my time each day—you know…kicking ass and moving forward with projects and plans I have had in the works FOREVER.
And then it happens. I am alone in my home office, ready to be a diva of productivity and efficiency, only to get distracted by laundry/reels and an overwhelming sense of SO MUCH TO DO and SO MANY IDEAS TO MAKE HAPPEN.
Have you ever experienced this pattern? It’s as if Analysis Paralysis and Opportunity Overload had a baby….and it’s hungry! I have come to realize that this bambino is actually how many of us consistently give our power away. Like a sieve, our energy is drained with this pattern of overwhelm. It's exhausting and absolutely contributes to stalling momentum in our personal and professional lives.
With awareness and intention it is POSSIBLE to feel more driven than drained.
Here's a few tips to take back your PERSONAL POWER.
Set Healthy Boundaries: ????
Clearly define your personal boundaries and communicate them with confidence. Let others know what is works for you…and what doesn’t! You deserve to be a champion for your own health and wellness--you would do it for a friend or family member right?
Practice Self-Care: ????
Prioritize your physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Taking care of yourself empowers you to handle challenges effectively and make decisions that align with your needs and values. Do ONE THING everyday that represents an investment in your well-being. For me it's the gym in the morning (even when I am tired and my work-outs suck, I still feel good about getting there and being invested in myself).
Use Positive Self-Talk: ?????
Replace negative thoughts with empowering and positive self-talk. Remind yourself of your strengths, achievements, and capabilities, boosting your confidence and self-worth. Collect the nice things people say about you and add them to a binder or envelope. Reflect back on these comments and use them as reminders that your time, work and energy matters.
Remember, maintaining your power is about valuing yourself, respecting your needs, and navigating choices with confidence and commitment. #yesyoucan Let’s put that sieve away. :)
As I always say, LIFE DOESN'T HAVE TO BE SO HARD. Right?
