“Should I use tools to optimize my YouTube videos? Tools like vidIQ or TubeBuddy?”
So, vidIQ and TubeBuddy are pretty much the same thing. My colleague had a subscription to both and he tested them out. He finds them to be pretty much one to one. It was actually funny, he was at a YouTube conference in Los Angeles back in October of last year and TubeBuddy was there. During that time, he was using vidIQ.
So, he went to TubeBuddy and he asked, “Okay so, what is the difference between you guys? Why should I switch from vidIQ to TubeBuddy?”. They did not really reply to his question and could not really give him any answers. So, that led him to think that they are the exact same thing. Also, the prices are similar.
Anyway, he currently uses vidIQ because that is what he is used to. What is cool about it is that it gives you an overall score of what you can improve on your videos. It tells you how long your titles are, if they are actually too long and it just has all kinds of different features. There is this one, where it will suggest different topics for your videos based on your search volume.
Moreover, it allows you to save tag templates which is cool if you want to insert a bunch of tags in all your videos. Like for example, “medical marketing”, “chiropractic clinic marketing”, “medical clinic marketing”, “marketing strategy for chiropractors”, “marketing strategies for doctors” or even “Facebook marketing for chiropractors” all those types of things. Instead of typing them over and over again, there is a template that you can use.
Another thing that you can use is something called rapidtags.io. Basically, you can put your video title in, then it will spit out a bunch of tags for you and all you have to do is copy them and paste them into YouTube.
There is this other one that you can use too, called Morningfame. It just gives you a lot of really cool features. It does really good research for you where you just have to enter your keywords. Also, it tells you how your YouTube channel is doing. Like 24 hours after you launch a video, it can show you how many views you got and how that compares to all the other videos on your channel.
It also shows you which thumbnails you are actually competing against which is great because on YouTube, the thumbnails are a really big part of if you are successful or not. So, if you have a YouTube thumbnail, what it does is, it will actually pull the 6 thumbnails including yours that are being suggested. Basically, which thumbnails your videos are actually competing with. Now, if you see some thumbnails that look a lot more appealing than yours, then you can just switch the thumbnail out.
There you go, vidIQ, Morningfame and rapidtags.io are the three tools that you can use to optimize your YouTube videos for your chiropractic clinic.
