The Tools & Insights To Help You Tailor Your LinkedIn Feed Experience

Throughout the last few years, we’ve introduced a number of valuable tools to improve your Feed experience on LinkedIn. We are focused on surfacing relevant knowledge and helping you discover content from verified industry experts. We’ve also added a number of new tools and controls so you can tailor your experience.

Prioritizing Authenticity and Verification??

At LinkedIn, we’re focused on creating a platform that brings together real professionals across the globe to discuss and share insights on real and timely topics. A major part in ensuring that authentic, human connection remains strong and trusted is through verifications.?

Since launching verifications on LinkedIn back in April 2023, we’ve seen over 75 million? professionals take advantage of this free feature, confirming their authenticity and adding to the trusted reliability of our platform. Which is a good reminder - if you haven’t already, there’s never been a more crucial time to take advantage of our verification features than right now. Verification helps build trust on LinkedIn for anyone who views your profile or your content - whether that’s a hiring manager, potential client, or a new connection.

Hide or Report Content in Your Feed

We know how important it is for you to have control over the content that you see in your Feed, so that you can engage and participate in conversations that matter most to you. In line with that, we’ve given you the ability to hide content in your feed that you are not interested in. To do this, simply click the “X”? in the upper-right corner of a post to hide it. From there, you can select a reason for why you’ve chosen to hide this post, and let us know if you don’t want to see posts like this in the future. All of this feedback helps us further curate content we’ll surface in your Feed moving forward.

Beyond that, if you see an inappropriate or offensive post in your feed, we encourage you to report it. To do this, Click the “...” more icon on the right side of the post/comment, click “report this post,” and then select the option that best describes your concerns from the “Why are you reporting this?” pop-up that appears. Doing so will ensure you have a safe experience on the platform while also helping others.?

See Less Political Content in Your Feed

We’ve consistently heard from some of our members that they do not want to see political content in their LinkedIn feed. To help with this, U.S.-based members who have your language set to English have the option to customize the content that appears on your feed (as well as other places like notifications) by indicating that you prefer to not see political content in your settings(learn more here).

Control What You See and Share

Enhancing your LinkedIn experience — whether you’re focused on sharing knowledge or learning from others — doesn’t stop here. Additional tools you can take advantage of include:?

By taking advantage of these tools, not only are you helping to personalize your overall LinkedIn experience, but are playing a part in helping us create a safe and effective network for all professionals to take full advantage of today.?

When I try to save a post to my personal email account, I press the email icon, and I am offered a choice of three different accounts. The third choice is my real account. The first two have my exact username, but they are from the UK. The teal account does not identify my username. I am distressed about these obvious cases of fraud.
