TOOLS OF INFLUENCE: Celebrating our first milestone!

When I launched this newsletter 20 weeks ago, my goal was simple: to build a vehicle that would push me to research the hidden brain science behind why some sales techniques work better than others. Essentially, having a weekly deadline to learn something new that interested me and then write about it forced me to take time out of my day to learn. I'm a big believer in having a "growth mindset." However, believing in it versus practicing it in real life are two very different things. This newsletter was, and continues to be, an exercise in improving myself and, in turn (hopefully), helping others improve as well.

Now, 20 weeks later, I'm blown away by how far this newsletter has come. I never expected 1,339 subscribers to care about my little pet research project; at most, I thought maybe a few dozen people might find it interesting.

I can't thank you all enough for subscribing and reading the occasional newsletter as it pops up in your inbox. I don't take that privilege lightly; occupying space in a person's inbox each week should come with the understanding that there's a responsibility attached—a responsibility to make each newsletter worth reading, worth your time, and worth my time. It will be my continued goal to craft each newsletter with the understanding that it must add value to you, its readers, and your daily life as both experts in your respective fields and inquisitive humans who may also strive to achieve a growth mindset each day of your lives.

This week's issue of #ToolsOfInfluence is a bit of a 'greatest hits' recap of the most popular issues to date.
