Scheduled Newsletters & Articles

We’re thrilled to announce the rollout of scheduled articles. We’re rolling out this update on desktop where you can utilize the same pre-scheduling tools that are available for posts to create ongoing long-form content. This tool will allow you to manage and maintain your planned publishing cadence, all natively on LinkedIn.

So, how does it work? After you create a new article or newsletter, hit Publish to view the scheduling icon on the left of the Post button. Then, simply click that icon to schedule the date and time you’d like your content to be shared. And don’t worry, if you need to modify the date and time you selected, delete a scheduled post, or see all your scheduled posts in one place, you’ll be able to view and make those changes here as well.?

Plus, we’re also rolling out scheduled posts for Pages. So, if you’re a LinkedIn Page Admin, you’ll now have access to scheduled posts through desktop–stay tuned for mobile.?

Feature Highlights

Consider these recommended tools to engage your audience and grow your following.?

Live Events?

LinkedIn Live Events allow members and Pages to schedule a virtual event in advance and stream it directly to an audience via video or audio-only formats. They are a great way to nurture your community– giving you the ability to engage directly with attendees before, during, and after the livestream.?

Want to try it out? Let’s break it down by type:

  • Audio Events: Engage in live, audio-only dialogue with your community. Audio Events are a good option for when you want to connect without the stress of being camera-ready. Listeners can raise their hands and get brought “onstage” to ask questions in real-time.?
  • Video Events: Connect with and stream live video content to your audience via a 3rd party broadcasting tool. These events stay up as a post on your feed when they’re over, so if your attendees can’t make the live event, they still have the option to view it later.

Tips for planning a Live Event:?

? Schedule and promote your event 7-10 days before the event date.?

? Be sure to add any additional speakers at least 48 hours in advance.

? Encourage additional speakers to invite their connections to the event.

? Invite your connections and encourage them to promote the event by reposting it.?

? Think of ways to make your event as fun and interactive as possible. For example: Encourage your audience to respond to questions with emojis.?

? Talk about a topic that you’re passionate about, be yourself, and have fun!?
