Dear Friends,
One of my ex-colleagues happened to put a message asking for monetary help to handle a severe financial crunch regarding the medical treatment of their spouse, who is less than 30 years old. It tugged my heart strings, to think that it is not just the pandemic , but life finds various ways to give us the "treatment" when it is just not our time.
Another colleague of mine, lost his brother due to heart attack and was below 35 years of age, with two kids , one of whom he didn't even get a chance to have the first word. While my mind and heart couldn't bear to see all the suffering that each one of us are going through in a haphazard manner at the most unexpected intervals , I wanted to extend my own gift of gab to remind this audience of some points to wonder -
I am myself healing from a personal loss from the past year , is still clueless of life's algorithm of reward and punishment . My heart aches with empathy for these people, who happen to be just like any of us - with normalized aspirations of making some money, leading a comfortable life with simple pleasures.
Being in the IT Industry, sometimes there is a sudden inflow of cash , but there is always an invisible target at our head , a fear of being drowned in competition and an inferiority complex of not being successful enough - all for no reason.

What is the point in all the money that is coming and going through taxes , OTT subscriptions , impulsive online shopping and unmonitored gluttony when it is not of use to help those in times of need . Success and financial power should also be measured by how astute we are to help someone in need
Based on your financial capacity and commitments, you can start allocating a small portion of your monthly income as a rainy day fund consistently . You can use that money through stock and other deposit channels to inflate it's value by a few hundreds or thousands based on your risk profile. Use this extra cash to help someone in need monetary wise when such requests come. Remember , we can never steal someone else's emotional luggage or pain , but we can ameliorate their suffering by making the process a bit easy.
If this #Linkedin platform has become a great place to display our achievements , we should also be able to share the simple stories of kindness that arise out of our work and ability to stay employed.
